Agreed. I'm shocked of all things that a comedians bad joke is what woke a whole bunch of people up, but whatever. I'll take it.I know we all joke, but maybe this is a sign the tide is turning.
I'm actually surprised he didn't just excuse this by saying, "Yes, that comedian is a racist who talked shit about Puerto Ricans and I don't like him, but I'm supporting Trump because I think he's the best for the economy." Also, Trump went on Hannity and in typical fashion claimed he had no idea who the comedian was, hadn't heard of him and "[didn't] want to hear of him." There's the out Trump-supporting Puerto Ricans need. "Trump didn't even know that guy."
There's still time for Nicky to pivot once again, I guess.
I didn't think the leopards would eat MY face..."I was cool with the Haitians eating cats and dogs thing, and mass deportations of Latinos, but this was too far."
Put that evil on the 1987 Doonesburt comics. Though to be honest it was satirizing Trumps NYT trial balloons.Meyers made the joke that Trump was running as a "joke" back in 2011.
Nicky is a man...As a woman, Nicky should be more concerned about her reproductive rights.
crazy that republicans are still viewed as "good for the economy" by know-nothings
You sure about that? Trump called Nicky a woman and that man is never wrong.
I know. It was a joke. Trump thought he was a woman.

I understand that Trump thought he was a woman, but can we not intentionally misgender someone for a joke?
What's even weirder is how much Trump and Co. have said the same things multiple times in just slightly different ways as that comedian. And have actually directly hurt people who live in Puerto Rico multiple times and made their lives worse when he was president.Agreed. I'm shocked of all things that a comedians bad joke is what woke a whole bunch of people up, but whatever. I'll take it.
I take your point. Given the context, that hadn't occurred to me. Apologies.I understand that Trump thought he was a woman, but can we not intentionally misgender someone for a joke?

I don't understand why that was the thing that did it either but I pray it causes him to lose.
There's a difference between "intentionally misgendering someone for a joke" and "making a joke, using the wrong gender, at the expense of somebody who misgendered somebody else", no?I understand that Trump thought he was a woman, but can we not intentionally misgender someone for a joke?
50 Cent was offered $3M to be at the MSG event and turned it down. I'm sure this guy got $80k or something for his endorsement. When he said trump is good for the economy he meant on a personal level.
Only fitting a failed comedian would be the one to take down a joke of a president and businessman.Agreed. I'm shocked of all things that a comedians bad joke is what woke a whole bunch of people up, but whatever. I'll take it.
That's where I'm at. He made the right choice but we can still clown him lol.Better late than never I suppose. Whichever red flag in the forest of red flags actually got your attention, I support it.
