It'd basically be what people think Game Of Thrones is like, but in space.
all that alcohol can't be goodMike's dementia slipping through the cracks again at 3:20 - "...it made Yoda dance in a bikini bottom." :p
I honestly don't think there's anything to say. It's a movie you experience and then you move on.They really don't care about Dunkirk on any level whatsoever huh, not even enough to say anything about it lol.
It's about ghosts and Mike believes in ghostsI'm kind of surprised that they both loved A Ghost Story. I thought Mike would hate it. lol
Can someone spoiler me on the infamous scene in Gerard's Game that made Jay almost barf?
A lot of people don't like the ending of The Florida Project, because it literally and figuratively feels tacked on.It's a shame they don't review better movies in half in the bag and save them only for the end of the year wrap up. Mike spoke wonderfully about why a ghost story is good and works with its filmmaking and choices. Also, it was really interesting to hear Jay talk about the killing of a sacred deer as if he wasn't sure if it was a comedy or not. It's totally a comedy in the same way dogtooth and the lobster were in that it is very dark very self serious and you're supposed to laugh at its darkness and self seriousness. The ending that Jay does not reveal is totally goofy and how it's presented and yet still very realistic in the confines of what the movie sets up. Only thing I disagree with is Mike's explanation and description of the ending of the Florida Project. I think he's missing a lot of what the movie was setting up in regards to a child's view point, and what the ending meant in relationship to that and the dreamlike quality of it.
This was a story of a bunch of deadbeat prostitute baby mama's on welfare, stealing, smoking, drugs, who didn't take care of their children, let them run all over the place, cussing stealing, destroying property, no guidance. These people are the scum of the earth. FINALLY DCF came and took the delinquent kid. Horrible movie, not worth the time or money
Absolutely one of the worst movies of ALL time. The dialogue, the plot, the characters, are all pointless and ridiculous. After watching this trash, the description "heart stopping thriller," makes me ill. There is nothing "heart stopping" about this film, it is not intelligent, clever or scary--it is just garbage. The story has zero redeeming quality. There is no moral, or point, to any of it. Do not waste your time watching. And, do not waste your money to rent, or buy it. What this film teaches, is any actor will do almost any movie, as long as the price is right. This thing didn't last a week in theatres, and it should not last a week in rentals. I can only hope it dies on the vine, and the people who make crap like this go broke.
I know there are some that didn't like the ending, but I strongly disagree with them just as I do with the critics at the time who didn't like or appreciate the ending of There Will Be Blood.A lot of people don't like the ending of The Florida Project, because it literally and figuratively feels tacked on.
I wonder if people would have felt the same way if Baker was allowed to bring in a real camera crew and shot that scene without using iPhones.
Mike seems to really dislike The Last Jedi. I'm sensing a full length Plinkett review.
