so after finishing the electrical chair quest the professor tells you to come check the experiment and rides the wagon, I jumped on it too but he freaked out and ran away, did I miss something or there will be a continuation to it later?
When cycling over it though it says release L1 to use, so I definitely need to use it on locks or is it automatic? It's not consumable, you'll just be able to pick locks after you buy it.
Sorry this doesn't make sense to me. Can you explain more? Boxed in? It's one of the most open games I've ever played. While I don't agree with what he says I do kind of feel like this is a linear open world game
Does this make sense to people?
I always feel on rails in RDR2, even if I'm going to do side stuff. I always feel boxed in. There's something about RDR that I find very stultifying.
This might be why I dislike it I think.
Just had a weird conversation with one of the girls at the camp. She asked if Arthur wanted to have a talk and he started going on about how he's been going crazy and killing innocents for no reason. I thought I've been playing fairly honourably haha
Go there and look again. There is something you can "pick up".I actually found the first area really early in the game, but Arthru just ignored it. Nothing to note, interract with...
Only works on foot. On horse either you do the claw or you're fucked and can't sprint, aim and shoot at the same time. There is a way to remap sprint, go to the controller settings and change them around and view the controls.
This game is something else on Xbox one X judging by the images. Amazing!
The missions are certainly linear but the world itself with its multitude of activities is just begging to be explored. While I don't agree with what he says I do kind of feel like this is a linear open world game

Between the pace of movement and controls as well as the massive amount of time it takes to get anywhere I never feel fully free in this game.Sorry this doesn't make sense to me. Can you explain more? Boxed in? It's one of the most open games I've ever played.
I picked it up somewhere, don't remember though.the poison arrow pamphlet that fence Rhodes is selling, is only available in that place or i can loot it somewhere else?
You can buy dynamite from a Fence
I think I'm part of the glitched out crowd. Should his missions be available during chapter 2?So I think I've done 3 Micah missions now and my god have they made me hate his character lol. I hope I get a chance to off him a some point in the story
You either wait for online to go live...or do post-game stuff if you have any. o:
I think all of them were main story missions so don't think you can miss them? I've done 2 in chapter 2 a 1 in chapter 3I think I'm part of the glitched out crowd. Should his missions be available during chapter 2?
I have yet to do or see a Micah mission and I'm pretty deep in chapter 2...I think all of them were main story missions so don't think you can miss them? I've done 2 in chapter 2 a 1 in chapter 3
Go to Valentine and retrieve the Gunslinger missions, I believe the guy who gives them to you will be sitting in one of the bars there.
By doing those, you will get some of the best revolvers/pistols early right from the get go.
Best horse of in the game is located West of Lake Isabella it's an all white horse and looks awesome. That lake is Northwest of the map.
Was this posted yet? Because if not, it deserves its own thread. Quite something that bugs like these still sneak in after having been developed for such a crazy long time.

You have to break him out of jail in Strawberry.I have yet to do or see a Micah mission and I'm pretty deep in chapter 2...
Ah okay. Maybe that's the next Ducth mission. I have yet to do one with Dutch. Figured that would advance me and I keep wanting to just soak up the world.
Do you need to find/catch that horse or is it part of a mission?
Scopes are your friend. Make sure to look at their info to see the way to get a perfect kill (Rifle, repeater, bow, varmint rifle, different ammo types, etc). Stars indicate pelt quality (3-stars = pristine).Any tips on hunting?
So far I am:
-crouching everywhere
-looking through binoculars to track
Apparently it's canon now that John can't swim. Or at least based on some mission banter anyway. So at one point I'm making friendly conversation with John Marston, and Arthur casually chides him that it must make him nervous being so close to the water. Excellent callback to the fact that even the smallest amount of water is enough to kill John in RDR 1.

There will be areas on your map that have animals drawn on them, like the first game, and that is a general area where they appear with some frequency. How do you best figure out where to go for a specific animal you need? I need some raven feathers, and I'm kinda resorting to killing a deer and rolling the die on what kind of predator bird shows up.

Your'e giving Sunhi a run for his money. So in that scenario, do they just keep filing in like GTA4? Or is there a break and you can make a run for it once you've cleared the initial posse.

I would add: (1) use scout vision to track your own scent, or how the wind affects your scent, to position yourself relative to the target. (2) Once you have your target lined up, press Call to get your target to poke its head up. (3) Activate dead-eye to slow down time and highlight the critical areas. (4) Move your cursor over the hot-spot/critical area at the target's head. (5) Once you get a SINGLE X-mark on the head, inactivate dead-eye to fire.
These head shots, either with the Varmint-rifle for smaller animals and birds, or with the bow for larger animals, results in high quality pelts more often than not, for me.
