I might be misremembering, but I think the poster was a pre-production mock-up of what the studio was going for, which meant Pratt or a Pratt-type. The poster was probably just meant for internal use as a direction that they wanted to take it, I don't think Pratt was ever actually involved.
He probably saw the script and wanted nothing to do with this movie.
I believe they were targeting Pratt and Paul Rudd for either the lead or to be Sonic's voice iirc
Since there's no other place to post it, have you seen his take on Yoshimitsu? (I bet you did but I'll post it anyway)

probably not gonna happen, as waluigi isn't a fighter and he says he's gonna focus on the more popular characters.
His Sonic design is so much better than the movies.I'm really liking his takes on these characters.

Something about Bowser Jr just sort of looks weird to me in that art style. It's more faithful than Bowser but I honestly liked his drawing of Bowser more as it fit the art style better

Nah. Mushroom strands are a lot more vertical for the most part. This stuff looks like spherical puffs.
