Quantic Dream next title is going to be multiplatform?
According to a job listing, the french studios is looking for an experienced engineer with a great knowledge of Microsoft Direct libraries, including 11 and 12.

Maybe? I mean it'd be nice, their games already look great on PS4. Probably tooling their engine for next gen too, though.

Makes sense. The current contract with Sony is over, and Sony might take some time to give them a new one considering the shithole the studio is to its employees.

It literally says "you will participate in the development and optimization of the PC engine of our studio", so of course it requires DX11/12 knowledge. This does not mean their next game is going to be released on PC/XboxOne, though. Most studios (even Sony studios) have PC-version of their engines for quick iteration and tools support...

Direct libraries are exclusive to PC and Xbox tho, i don't think PS will ever support Direct, since this is a MS tool.

The ad does mention "the PC engine of our studio".
This position is for their 3d engine .

Cause it's long term position and not project duration position .

I m sure this is when studios start getting their engines ready for next gen before they experiment with new games .

Most probably quanitc dream will be in ps5 reveal with their new engine demonstration .like they have been there for ps3 reveal and PS4 reveal .

Allegedly.

They are probably still brainstorming ideas for their next game, no reason Sony can't pick their next project if it looks like a nice fit for them. No matter, after Detroit, I'm pretty excited for their next project.

I was expecting Sony's response to Quantic Dream's issues to be plugging their ears until Detroit was out and then ending their relationship before Quantic got buried in lawsuits and possible mass departures, so I wouldn't be surprised if that relationship is over.

I don't remember which interview it was but Cage (or De Fondaumière ?) said that there never was such thing as a 3 games contract. They signed every project with Sony one after another.

Here it is : https://www.lesnumeriques.com/jeux-...ome-human-est-proposition-radicale-a3729.html

"we have a contract game by game with Sony. We have a lot of desires and projects for the future"

Right, which is why the studios that work for PS4 (exclusively or not) have both a DX and an PS4/Gnm renderer, so they can run it both on PC(or/and XboxOne) and in PS4, regardless of if they ship in PC or not

And it doesn't feel likely this would have been on MS's shopping list either for the same reason. The studio size is right, but on other counts it doesn't feel very attractive. It's not anglophone, there's this controversy, it's got a strong auteur director and so on.
