It´s not even true in developed countries. There aren´t many people that are going to spend 500 bucks on a gaming console. While true in developed countries, a $199 or less PS4 will sell like hotcakes elsewhere.

There used to be a mod of the Remote Play app, but the guy who made it stopped working on it so now there is no way to get Remote Play without using Magisk (requires root) and you still won't be able to use a controller. There are ways of doing it already. I can't remember how I did it, but I remember getting Remote Play working on my Samsung Galaxy S6, and it didn't involve any rooting of the device either.
PS3 disappeared (they stopped producing it) 3 years later when people stopped buying it.they said the same thing about PS3. Then PS4 came out and it disappeared.
there is next to zero chance PS4 has another 50+ million in it. Sales will drop off a cliff once PS5 hits.
LOL, it'll come. I imagine the far larger variety of phones on Android is the reason why it's taking longer to get it up and running vs. what they've got on their Xperia phones and on iOS.
It's crazy how extremely pessimistic this generation started and yet here we are, practically 100 million PS4 consoles sold. Sony really did a splendid job this gen.
Pretty much lie because Sony activetely took down remote play from android store when it was working perfectly on all devices. And mobile app development isnt done like console game development. You just do layouts for device sizes and be done with it
They only recently added it to iOS, so they are expanding it now. In comparison Android has a metric buttload more variety in devices than iOS, so it makes sense that they'll need more time to implement it on Android.
Also, holy crap at that Spider-Man footage. I was hoping we'd get a chance to see a clip of it and it didn't disappoint at all :)
That's absolutely not the reason, it's a business decision to push their own phones.
now historically that's been the case but I'm talking about going forward. During their investor relation event they put a pretty heavy emphasis on remote play being an important feature on multiple devices and Android phones were included in the image. Of course they had the footnote that it was currently on Xperia only, but there's every reason to believe that will expand to more Android devices going forward.
