I'm not looking to trust these companies. I just buy what I like and skip what I don't. I trust them to make smart business decisions which may or may not align with what I want. There is much else to it. Nothing has struck me as that big of a dealbreaker.

Sony should be criticized for some of the deceptiveness/wonky marketing as well as some policies that they are falling short on...
But I genuinely think there are some people desperately trying vilify Sony or to turn the PS5 launch into the Xbox One fiasco. It is, quite frankly, weird. Maybe even...odious.

While I personally feel that their messaging could have been a bit clearer, in the end it only it's only a minor annoyance. The PS5 will still have great games and will sell ridiculous numbers.
Guys! Something strange happened! I thought my PS5 got here early, but it was actually a PS9! I opened up and it went straight up my nose and instantly signed into my PSN account and downloaded all of my games, I'm actually posting this from the PS9 inside of my brain, well I'm off to go play Spiderman in full life like experience!
They simply need to start being honest, and perhaps apologize for being deceptive.
I'd also appreciate them starting to use additive buisness tactics, as opposed to subtractive. Paying huge sums of money to take chunks out of competitor's games is shitty. It adds nothing to the world but upset and disappointment.
Use that money for something good, like making more games, or giving us free remasters/PS4 game upgrades. I guarantee Sony could have funded another full exclusive with the money they are spending to keep FF XVI off other consoles, and that's sad. They could have used that money to buy another studio, fund indie devs that desperately need the money. Square didn't need that money, and it will mostly certainly add nothing to the quality of the game. It will also certainly hurt long-term sales of the game though, may cause less people to play and enjoy it overall, and could upset thier fan base.

I'm confused. There was no list of reasons in your OP and that thread title is so much more extreme than I feel right now. So as long as they release games I want to play I'm fine. Maybe that's just me though and things like this don't bother me anymore since I'm older and there are way more serious things to care about now than some cross gen games or a stupid video game console being hard to pre-order.
