As much as the police are completely fucked in general, police training is especially fucked thanks to wingnut paramilitary organizations like this poisoning the well from the beginning.

Another one of ILEETA's sponsors, Looseleaf Law Publications Inc just started selling this book:

Some other best sellers include "gunFIGHT! - An Integrated Approach to Shooting & Fighting in Close Quarters" and "Foundations of Sniper Marksmanship - Based on Snipercraft Principles". These are marketed as "essential resources for criminal justice professionals and law enforcement".

Funny how those who decided that we needed to fund the police, placate the police, or join the police are mysteriously absent from this thread. Where are those who say "all cops are bad is a terrible slogan because not all cops are bad"? Where are those who insisted that the protesters cost us elections? Where are all the people who takes about focus means testing the perfect slogan?

Maybe, just maybe, this phrases exist because of the constant naked exposure of the vile, racist, and corrupt nature of the police. Maybe these phrases are not meant to win a random electoral seat and are cries of outrage over injustices. Maybe the activists and protesters aren't interested in a corrupt systems that shows no care about fixing the issue and will hide behind poll numbers to justify the increasing body count. But no, as always, it's the activists who are wrong.

They are racist because they are economically anxious. If we give the police more money they will be less racist and all our problems are cured. #facts

Damn I wish we had a non-snappy liberal-approved slogan we could use that polled well among white suburban moderates to demand change.

Alas, I'm afraid there's just nothing we can do.

One of this organization's advisory board members is Dave Grossman, who some of you may remember was prominent in trying to blame violence on video games at various points over the years. He was recently in the news for being picked by Trump to come to the WH for a meeting with video game execs and for being completely fucking insane

One of Grossman's seminars appears in the documentary Do Not Resist—a film about the militarization of police. In the movie, he described what happens when a cop gets home safe after killing someone.
"They all say, 'the best sex I've had in months,'" Grossman says in the movie. "Both partners are very invested in some intense sex. There's not a whole lot of perks that come with this job. You find one, relax and enjoy it."

Anyone saying, 'maybe Obama is right', read through some of this shit.

Defund the police is absolutely right and fair for communities to back. Imagine if that money was put into social programs to elevate poor and ailing communities instead of groups that continue to further entrench themselves in the beliefs that black people are terrorists.
