Oof, I think the adventuregamers review score is a little harsh, but yeah I also hope the next LiS will get back on track.Hopefully the next Life is Strange manges to incorporate some puzzles even if they are easy/simple.
Has anyone played The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker or Night in the Woods? I see that they are releasing for the Switch soon and I am looking for more games to play on it.
The CELL architecture and split memory of the PS3 is really weird, as far as system architecture is concerned. They probably didn't do a good job in adapting to that. Another reason why you want to outsource low-level engine development: most devs just don't have (or frankly need) that kind of know-how.I find it astounding that the older build of the Telltale Tool was designed so it could run on Intel HD graphics cards but runs so arse on at least the PS3.

I love everythng about them apart from the puzzles. A lot of them are in the use the sausage as a table leg and glue the cat hair to the comb to use as a fake moustache level of randomness.Anyone heard of the Rusty Hotel series? Just watched a LP of it from a channel I follow and it's pretty unique. More of a click and point puzzle game than traditional adventure game but I recommend it for it's pure weirdness. First game is only $2 on Steam.

Night in the Woods can feel rather slow but I really liked it. I really connected with the main character and her condition.
Rakuen was great, while yeah it did have some fetch questy stuff, it's a very light game during the last half of the game and the ending had me in tears ToT
ECHO!
Currently playing through Sam and Max Season 1 and it's still a solid game IMO; simple and the puzzles aren't all that difficult. For the most part it helps to explore all areas to get an idea of what you can interact with.
The humor is quite good too, although...why is Bosco grey/ashen? I finished ep. 2 so far and each ep. is like 2-3 hours long which is good IMO. Season 1 is 6 episodes which is prob. the LONGEST a Telltale game's ever been.
I played Season 3 on PS3 and jeebus was the performance arse on there. I find it astounding that the older build of the Telltale Tool was designed so it could run on Intel HD graphics cards but runs so arse on at least the PS3.
A game called Blacksad to be released this year
Wuwtwgendnxne xndnd
Literally says. Blacksad
I never even knew this was happening
Play it with Cheat Engine and set the game to 2 or 3 times the speed. That should make it feel like a modern game. Are there any good Let's Plays of Syberia? Tried to play the first game buuuut it felt too slow for me :V
Thimbleweed ParkReally craving for a good mysterious Point and Click game now... turn off all the lights and pour a half glass of wine... and just enjoy.
Is there really nothing new worth checking out?

I'm playing chapter 2 of Dreamfall: Chapters and I've been unimpressed so far.
Really? I might drop it, then. I wanted to give it a chance, but I'm really not feeling it.Thats normal. Game is half of what it was supposed to be and it will only get worse.
Just learned about Guard Duty

Looks pretty interesting.
The OP is too big with so many titles and images that I just wait things out for them to release and then hype about it in here :V

Yeah, seriously screw the swapping of items between characters. Was a chore in this game for sure. I really enjoyed it, one of my favorites of the year and thought the ending was a really nice payoff. Finally flippin finished Thimbleweed Park. That game is way too long for it's own good. I started and restarted it 3 times, gave up, came back, and finally decided to chip away at it.
Much like The Cave, I still don't think having a bajillion characters cycle items is fun at all. Give everyone a shared inventory, or segregate them like DotT.
Writing was good, got a few laughs out of me, but kinda dragged during the middle, and more importantly:
We never really figured out who killed the person in the beginning. Kinda reminds me that Twin Peaks was never supposed to have the killer revealed.
The ending though, was so good. though I'm a sucker for
games that reference the fact that they are games. Earthbound made me fall in love with it (and put me on the path of making games), and Undertale, Pony Island, Frog Fractions, etc pushed the envelope. Thimbleweed Park is a new high bar to beat. Making you go ALL the way back to the Kickstarter page to see that older rough graphics style, see what you're supposed to do, then PLAY that older graphics style.
I feel that Dreamfall Chapter at least functions as an ending to the story that Dreamfall began. Syberia 3 is just utterly pointless. The ending of Syberia 2 works much better as a final curtain call to the story of Kate Walker.I'm gutted that both Dreamfall and Syberia have shit final chapters.
I'd rather they just weren't made.
Makes me worry for Shenmue 3.
The thing about the early RE games, at least the ones after RE1, is that they gave you MORE ammo and stuff if you looked around well enough.
Furthermore, you could actually run alongside the zombies to avoid them so you didn't need to waste bullets etc. on them.
I think the same applies to Silent Hill? Like you didn't need to waste your ammo on a lot of the monsters and just positioned yourself in a way that lets you run aside them, and used your ammo against bosses.
Now granted this may need some further practice to get it right, but that's part of the reason why I find the 'Survival' aspect odd for me and it comes off more as a marketing thing than anything.
Fady The RE series are available on Steam, and you could play Resident Evil 1 and Zero at least which have a non Tank control option scheme. Furthermore I think AT LEAST Resident Evil Revelations is closer to the original games? I hadn't gotten around to playing it yet though :X
Off the top of my head ATM :X
I'm not familiar with that but you could try asking here:Can someone help me find this game I played as a kid? I remember very little about it. It was potentially sponsored by Mentos? (maybe a free game that came with something), I vaguely recall that the physical disc had an image of the earth on it, and in-game you traveled around the world. I think you had to help a guy in alaska not get killed by a bear, there was this jewellery seller who said "One for the price of Two"... I don't remember much else. I've tried searching but had no luck. Any ideas?

I'll let you know once I replay it by next week XPHow was Season 3 story/writing-wise?
I've not got around to playing it yet due to excessive backlog

lOOKING at a few footage online I am surprised at something: They added Shadows.
