The guy gave awful interviews and I'm not a fan of some choices over the years, but he was an objectively successful CEO and employees seemed to like him, so I can't be too negative.
May he enjoy retirement, and may his successor be good!
If SteamDB Analytic estimates are to be believed, Helldivers 2 'owners' are very likely >3 million. Of course this is not counting the PS5.
Safe to say this game is already at or very close to selling 5 million copies total, if it hasn't already.
I'm torn between Warrior and Mystic Spearhand.

So, PlayStation Era, it finally happened. I became a father this week. Gaming is about to take a major backseat at least for some months if not longer lol But yeah I am so over the moon with joy that I thought I would share it here cz I do spend an unholy amount of my free time on this site!

You might actually find you have a bit more time to play games (after the first month or so). Lots of time rocking the baby trying to get them to sleep. Baby Bjorne or whatever the latest craze are to hold the baby on your chest will be your best friend.

My son just turned 10 days !! Congrats man. I'm still gaming but my mother in law is staying and hogging the tv so that's been the biggest detractor for my gaming time. Might have to move my ps5 to my office.
I think it's possible if the servers hold relatively well over the weekend. They have to know that whenever the mech drops that it's going to cause a big player influx.
helldivers 2 servers are noticeably stronger, they have made it so far to hold on and calmly let them into the game

The demo has two sections. The first is what I assume the opening of the game and the second is an area that comes soon after I think. After beating the first one you get the trailer they released at the last state of play. It's somewhat spoiler filled if you've played the original. You're better off just waiting until the game comes out at this point honestly.

Congrats. For me parenting ended up meaning that I stayed up after everyone was asleep and played. Also handhelds help. If you get a Portal or a Pc handhelds steaming short gaming sessions between daddy time is a good way to unwind when the stress sets in. Also, pro tip for when they get older: buy them their own controller. Nobody ever talks about it but young kids are sticky and so will be your controllers.

Having two young children of my own, yes your gaming time will (probably) suffer from it but as cliche as it sounds its so worth it.
And my eldest is now old enough to play games on the PS4 so sometimes we play together (Knack 2 is his favorite to play together) so those moments have been irreplaceable for me.

Kids are the absolute best and to be honest, you might up end up playing more for the first few months lol When my first kid was born I clocked like 120hours in Dragon Quest 11 in the first month haha but you'll find your rhythm eventually. My second kid is almost a year and in the time since he was born I finished Baldur's Gate 3, Final Fantasy XVI, a bunch of Yakuzas and so on lol
I mean its still a major increase they can only do so much it will of course keep increasing.
