The last thing it needs is to be more misery porn. Sony has too much of that shit already.
Oh the irony

It says "Cutscenes depict further instances of violence, sometimes with splatters/pools of blood" so here's hoping they don't purple jenova goo us again
Did you see how much scrutiny the Activision acquisition went under from regulatory bodies around the world? Now image the #1 and #2 players in the industry trying to merge.and would also no doubt completely murder the possibility of competition in this space.
It would be difficult and incredibly unlikely.Real talks, are there any legal reasons in place for why Sony and Nintendo can not merge in the future?
Like is there some kind of regulatory reasons to stop something like that from coming to pass?
I'm not asking how likely it is to happen, just what kind of fallout would come from them announcing such an intention.
It would probably be the most earth-shattering thing to ever happen in the games industry
and would also no doubt completely murder the possibility of competition in this space.
Man prepping for the discourse haha

I mean, it's gotta be the Super PlayStation, right? What would they name such a beast of a console?
The Playtendo?
The Nintony?
The SwitchStation 2?
i need smarter people to help Me brainstorm some names.
Just operate under the assumption that this absurd merger happened in some obscure reality out there.

Yeah, that's really awkward lol. The awards themselves shouldn't be promoting that they're snubbing entrants, even if that is going to happen by design.Including "biggest snub" in a tweet shows a real lack of class and only cements my opinion that this award show is a glorified ad generating venture.
Here's the way I see things: Wolverine is at his best when he's aware of how silly he is and not a grim, miserable fuck who only knows how to grunt and kill. He's witty, he's cocky, he's sarcastic, he's more than happy to taunt his opponents while fighting them. It's part of the reason why he and Peter Parker get along most of the time - because they actually have things in common, even though Logan hates to admit it because he takes himself more seriously than Peter does.
Exactly right! We all need a little less grimness and misery, wouldn't you agree?
As we know now, what is "legal" and what is not depends on how powerful your lobbying is.Real talks, are there any legal reasons in place for why Sony and Nintendo can not merge in the future?

Regulatory approval would need to happen in multiple jurisdictions. Japan is one place they need to get approval, but also Europe, US, etc. You can't really get away with a block in any major market unless you plan to abandon it.As we know now, what is "legal" and what is not depends on how powerful your lobbying is.
If Japanese companies such as Sony, Nintendo or whoever decided to merge with the argument that they need to grow big in order to compete with the Chinese (Tencent, Netease) and the Americans (Microsoft) who are acquiring left and right unchecked, the Japanese government would be very more than okay with it. It's not like Japan is not already familiar with the zaibatsu which basically control the local economy.
If this was happening with EU-based companies within the European Union, that would be different.
When it comes to Sony and Nintendo specifically, these two are so drastically different in their culture that they would rather trample over themselves that cooperate in any way. Sony already struggles to synergize their various branches.

Jon Ford who is a GoW Lore focused youtuber and has interviewed Cory Barlog and other SSM devs said ''he heard'' that the game will follow Kratos post Ragnarok and won't be a freya prequel or whatever.
I doubt he has real sources or anything but thought it would be worth posting.

New or upgrades is cool, but extending your current plan needs to be included.
So no discount if you only want to extend your current PS+ plan? I hope I'm wrong, I don't want to be forced to upgrade my plan to premium, no thanks.
Current PlayStation Plus members can save 25% when upgrading a current plan to PlayStation Plus Extra, or save 30% when upgrading to PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe.
I guess we will never knowAre we ready to have a calm and reasonable discussion here if for some reason Spider-Man doesn't get nominated for Goty? lol
Indeed.
