Anyone confirm yet it's lacking dolby vision and Atmos support as a UHD player?
I thought someone already confirmed it bitstreams Atmos out to receivers?

Think the game is capped at 30
Currently reading on twitter some impressions of people trying the dualsense is this really looks like PS5 biggest thing.
I hope it flies by for you guys!
Sounds like you want to try it specifically through the console, but, just in case, figured I'd mention that it's been on web store for a while and I was able to put in my pre-order for it this afternoon, if you hadn't seen it on there yet.So my console supposedly arrives today and I have a question. Has anyone checked out the store? If so can you already preorder or buy DMCV:SE?
Thanks for the impressions. I loved Astrobot rescue mission. What do you think about the controller?I've just been playing Astrobot all day. It's a legit GOTY contender. Just a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I've played for five hours so far and I think I'll still need another 1-2 to mop up the last Trophies for the Platinum. I got super into the speedrun mode, too. I really hope they make more of these, or at least DLC for this, because I'd happily pay for it.
Sorry if its been asked but whats the status on external hard drives? Is it safe to use them? Heard things about them crashing the system or possibly bricking them? I'm buying 4 games plus astro and bugsnax. There's no real need to use ps4 games yet but I kinda wanted to play Apex.

Unplugged it, then plugged it into the other port and it was fine...My PS5 says it can't format my external USB drive for expanded storage. It's a 2TB Samsung EVO 850 SSD in a USB 3.1 enclosure.
They probably show up again when you update the game.So Jeff Gerstmann has said that he was told this by Sony but they still showed up. Not sure what's up with that.
oh boy this is going to be bad if true, can anyone else confirmSo can anyone tell me how to share games and PS+ across two PS5 in the same house? Seeing as there is no primary console setting anymore it sort of seems like it doesn't work? The game sharing option seems to be for multiple users on the same console. Really hope they haven't done away with this...
Which port was it in? I think one of the two on the front is supposed to be lower power...I forget. My PS5 says it can't format my external USB drive for expanded storage. It's a 2TB Samsung EVO 850 SSD in a USB 3.1 enclosure.
I was using the rear ports. Either way it's fine now when I tried the other port.Which port was it in? I think one of the two on the front is supposed to be lower power...I forget.
Just use an ethernet cable between the two consoles once you have the PS5 setup to transfer everything in one swoop. That's what I did upgrading from PS4 -> PS4 Pro and it was pretty painless.Trying to upload game saves in preparation for tomorrow. Man this is a process. Unless im doing it wrong, after I upload one it boots me back a few screens and I have to repopulate all my games on a list which takes forever.

I do have that setting enabled (it is on by default) but the wording is a little vague. I haven't set up our second PS5 yet so I haven't tested it but it sounded like it was for the one console not multiple. I just read the article you linked and it sounds like it should still work. Will test it tomorrow after work. Thanks for the link.
The Last Guardian - 60fps if you have the disc version and don't patch it. Looks like it's only 1080p though.
Why didn't they just give us the option to skip? I like seeing stuff like that in movies.

Awesome. Thanks for the write-up and tips! I'll definitely take your advice on the triggers when I use them for each new gameplay idea. It's really cool! Astrobot has so many different ways of using it, from little stuff like mimicking the texture of the surfaces you're walking over, to huge stuff like some of the uses of the adaptive triggers. My recommendation would be to take a few moments to gently squeeze the triggers each time they introduce a new gameplay idea with them, because when I started I was just yanking them and you can kind of miss all the cool stuff they do. A lot of the gameplay styles use to entire range of the trigger's movement, and the force feedback you can feel on them when you're squeezing them halfway and they're fighting you is so cool.
As for the general size and shape, it felt noticeably bigger than the Dual Shock 4 at first but I think I'm used to it now. The Start and Select buttons are easier to hit now, and the triggers have a bit more tightness to them by default (when adaptive stuff isn't being used, I mean). I really like it.
