I haven't listened to this in a while but I'll tune in for this episode. I enjoyed their conversations in the past. Thank you for sharing.

Not particularly a fan of the "Unlocked" podcast (they occasionally talk a lot of uninformed nonsense), but I'll always watch a Phil Spencer interview.

Don't usually listen to Unlocked but I always like listening to Spencer. I'm looking forward to this one. Bonus points if we get some next gen tidbits.

Awesome.

I want Ryan to ask the hard-hitting questions, like why didn't he travel to devs to get their feedback during the design phase of the XSX!

Ryan McCaffrey is great and so congrats to him and the team for getting him on. It's been pretty crazy how every new piece of information about the XSX that Microsoft provides, I find myself more intrigued.

Yes, highlight of the week for me in terms of gaming news. Phil always sets the record straight and lays hints for what's to come, I'm looking forward to hearing him clarify already known news and would like to hear his feedback on Xbox SX reception.

Ryan is probably my favorite personality at IGN. Extremely cool headed and logically oriented. Can't wait to listen to the interview.

Agreed, the show is pretty underwhelming when it comes to accuracy of their info and the takes are sometimes really odd. But yeah..I'm in just to hear Phil talk.

Not afraid to ask good questions unless it's Elon Musk about unions

Don't forget that interview he did (I think?) with Todd Howard, where he let Howard say, with a straight face, that "they knew" Fallout 76 "wasn't going to be a Metacritic game", and that with live service games, it's "not about the state of the game when it launches - it's about what it BECOMES!". (all paraphrased, obviously).

Unfortunately I find this to be the case with most gaming podcasts, but especially those from IGN and related ones like Kinda Funny. Actually if you know any podcasts that you'd consider to be generally pretty informed, I'd love some recommendations

Oh boy, I've seen a few Kinda Funny podcasts where the hosts were talking absolute nonsense too.

Nice. Usually listen to Unclocked & Beyond at the weekend during breakfast, but probably won't be able to wait for this one.

Unlocked is pretty good for Xbox related stuff. Mostly Ryan tho. Kinda Funny has no idea at all about Xbox related things tho.
Btw the own Xbox Era podcast is really good btw of you search for Xbox related stuff.

I look forward to Ryan endlessly asking Phil about bringing back Conker, Banjo, Crimson Skies (etc).

In all seriousness, I do hope Ryan asks Phil about the current state of XGS, as much as I enjoy listening to Phil, he never seems to get pressed enough on Xbox's issues with 1st party in interviews.

Ah yes I love the AIAS podcast. Ted is an excellent host who really does a great job at getting the guests to open up about even the negative aspects of game development. Unfiltered is usually pretty good as well, but I think it's in spite of Ryan as the host rather than because of him. So many of his questions are oversimplifications (or too much of a "fan" perspective) for my tastes, but he's had some really great guests on who usually do a great job anyway of giving detailed and illuminating answers.

I think KF has a bias to the Xbox family, never ever see them praise anything Xbox related.

Hopefully he asked when the proper E3-substitute video/broadcast/whatever will be. I want to see Infinite already.
