That's great. I loved the 2 first games and I can't wait to play the new game.Metro is doing much better than ok
Its performing at a franchise best level

Yep. Keep in mind in raw units it's not a huge performer like other franchises but Metro has never been huge. I'm certain 4A are very happy with the results
The thing that makes it especially impressive is that physical sales are up over previous entries, and back when the other games releases digital was a small percentage of sales.
So the actual growth for the franchise when factoring in the growth of digital sales is very good
Destiny 2 had 35% in 2017, assuming that as a similar title and adding a bit due to the rising digital shares throughout 2018, I'd say 45%-ish would make sense. So if we were to forecast projections based on other similar games as a service titles, how much would we say digital would be?

I want to wait for the previews and reviews for my final predictions, but I will say between 80-100K for now. What will days gone do in UK on launch month ?
60k? 80k? 100k?
Yeah the previews and reviews play a part in the sold numbers .I want to wait for the previews and reviews for my final predictions, but I will say between 80-100K for now.
Mhm, that is why I think good previews and reviews will provide a solid bump to what will already be decent sales thanks to its market appeal combined with Sony's marketing. Sony going on a tour with it like their other big games inspires confidence.Yeah the previews and reviews play a part in the sold numbers .
Since it's a zombie game it might appeal to casuals
True hopefully it end ups 80 plus on metacritic.and they r in for a 5 to 6 million LTDMhm, that is why I think good previews and reviews will provide a solid bump to what will already be decent sales thanks to its market appeal combined with Sony's marketing. I really don't think 60-65% digital split is unrealistic for Anthem. It's very premature to call this a bomb.
Same bro. Very surprisedI never expected NSMBUD to do this well, guess I should never doubt 2D Mario again...
But not a bomb in the sense of EA revenue or negative implications for BioWare. It's a bomb for retail stores. They're part of the industry too.

I know, I originally said it's premature to call it a bomb (or not). A bomb at retail isn't a bomb for EA (yet).
I'd say digital is going to tell the real story here.I think the US numbers will be much more telling. If it is a similar result there, it is a wrap.
I don't really think this is true. Fortnite just had its single day highest concurrent play count aside from the Marshmallow concert.
Damnnn thats a steep drop 71% for Anthem
i am not sure if i am calculating this right, but Anthem did 12k this week then?
gamesindustry.biz said:The market share split for that game is 39 per cent on PS4, 33 per cent on Xbox One and 28 per cent on Nintendo Switch.
Anthem was a Friday release and it has a similar drop to percentage to games released on Tuesdays. Yeah that's not great.

Dead or Alive 6 sold less than half the number of units Dead or Alive 5
No.
Guess thats explains the 59% PS4 share.I was really confused for a second that the Switch version of the Lego Movie 2 game is nowhere to be seen until I checked and noticed that the Switch version comes out on the 15th March.
No.
Guess thats explains the 59% PS4 share.
Weird that they always have issues releasing the Lego Switch version at the same time....def. not the first time.
Third party games on Switch have vanished this week. The new Chart-Track has been up for a while in case anyone hadn't noticed.
