These are us sales,
But yeah I wonder what the sales are worldwide. Probably a lot of Fifa in there
this is the american sales tho, if it was WW there would be like 4 fifa games in the top 10.
Ah I didn't realize this was just for there.

MatPiscatella Are you counting digital sales for the games released before you started adding digital sales to the monthly charts?
I love that everyone calls Xbox the shooter box but the PlayStation is basically as bad.
I stand corrected. The 5 Million ship sailed long ago.

But I don't think it's as easy as taking the US sales and double them to get worldwide sales. Halo is much bigger in the US.
Yes, that's what I was asking. Thank youDigital tracking goes back to Jan 2012 if I'm reading your question correctly.
I like a lot of games on this list... but damn, I just gotta say that I'm glad gaming is more diverse than those titles, yeesh
uncharted sold a lot of copies in bundles with the system, which aren't counted hereI'm just shocked not to see Uncharted 4. I had no idea God of War sold more. Spiderman will join the party for sure.
they probably just missed the top 10. for sure in 11-20.
i just saw that it was confirmed recently that it had sold 2.5 million, but racing games seem to be bigger in europe.Forza Horizon 3 came out after Gears 4, but its a racing game, so for the US market thats its disadvantage.
Most interesting thing about this chart for me is that destiny isnt on the playstation chart.
I honestly wonder how much it's worth it for Sony to keep paying for exclusive content when it's not really pulling people to the system. Sure, it's ultimately minor content, but I can't imagine that it's cheap. Most interesting thing about this chart for me is that destiny isnt on the playstation chart.
I mean, do we get this when Japan is full of RPGs? I understand encouraging diversity, bit this is a reflection of popularity, and these games are fairly different even though they share the same perspective. GTA5, Cod, Battlefield, Halo are world's worlds apart despite focusing on guns.
what do we think the next exclusive for both that missed the list is?
my guess is
gears 4 or forza horizon 3 for xbo
uncharted 4 or the last of us for ps4
i'd be very interested to see this too. my guess is all the games on it would be from 2012/2013.
My guess would be
Gears 4 for xbo
Uncharted 4 for ps4

The Last of Us on ps4 was heavily bundled, but came out before UC4. I still think UC4 did better outside of bundles though.

And people keeps saying that COD is dying for years when it's a monster of a franchise. Look at how many there's on the list and the series is annual. Incredible.
Peeps sure do love Vita charts. I swear they get the most engagement of any of the charts I post every month.
i don't think a top 10 of best selling current gen games from japan would have as many jrpgs as you may think.
a LOT of fifa, definitely no NBA games.Nice to see both platforms with at least one first party title there. I imagine the lists would be fairly different if we included the rest if the world? Like, UC4 over GoW or something?
I'm pretty sure we got some indication that GoW sold better than UC4 in a couple of European countries, so I don't think it would change much. GoW is simply a bigger series than Uncharted.Nice to see both platforms with at least one first party title there. I imagine the lists would be fairly different if we included the rest if the world? Like, UC4 over GoW or something?
God of War legs were really good.
Keep in mind Minecraft is a 20 dollar game, so each copy sold only has 1/3rd the revenue of a 60 dollar game.
is this true? the new god of war may have changed things, but on ps3 uncharted was bigger than gow.
Yeah, I feel like Uncharted sold a ton in bundles as an earlier system seller.uncharted sold a lot of copies in bundles with the system, which aren't counted here

I wonder how Destiny and Destiny 2 would rank if their GOTY (Taken King and Forsaken Legendary editions) were added to the fray.
i don't follow NPD threads a lot but just based on people's comments i saw here or there i thought cod this gen was just a shadow of what it was last gen. i was very surprised to see the lists in the OP.So funny how many people were talking as if Call of Duty's death was just around the corner a few years ago.
There we go. I knew it felt like it was a heavy bundle system seller.
It's not so much that it's not selling a lot (it is), but one has to wonder just how much it's worth it to keep paying for exclusive content if it's not making the case for potential buyers to play it on Playstation over Xbox, as it looks like they're pretty close. The same argument could be made for CoD, though I think we're already seeing Activision scale back the windows for the releases on PS4 as it is.Is it not selling well enough on PS4? A bit hard to judge without knowing what it takes to break into PS4's top 10 software ranking.
Destiny 1 I'm guessing because it was a smaller install base and it wasn't the juggernaut that COD was. Just like how titanfall 1 isn't on The cbox list
what is close? those cod games are definitely selling a lot more on ps4.It's not so much that it's not selling a lot (it is), but one has to wonder just how much it's worth it to keep paying for exclusive content if it's not making the case for potential buyers to play it on Playstation over Xbox, as it looks like they're pretty close. Thanks for sharing sir. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the next ones.Testing the waters with these to see what feedback I get... hopefully.
