The game is extremely niche, it was never going to sell well.

Ring Fit is a massive success in Japan, bigger in relative terms than in the US. Also Animal Crossing is bigger in relative terms in Japan than in the US. Those two factors are driving the year-on-year growth in Japan.
FTFYSwitch had SSBU spill-over effect last year so I guess it is ok to be down YoY
$130? Edit: Canadian dollars?I was so close to buying Ring Fit last weekend, but the $130 price tag here is a bit to steep for me to justify, I'll still get it soon, maybe in a couple of months. Luigi... my man... I'll go for you as soon as I'm done with Mario Odyssey, don't worry.
Also, Kakarot...
Peru, yep. Otherwise I'd have gotten it on release.
Yeah unfortunately hopefully we can eke out Xenoblade X remastet first
it was supposed to be bombed in sales according to Era experts
You are right, that is also a factor. This years January had nothing to compensate.
Switch down in units is honestly surprising all things considering. But i think the next months it'll be up thanks line up + Lite.
What line up? There is no date for anything after Animal Crossing: New Horizons. All we have heard is speculation about some ports of old Wii U games and remakes. Nintendo once again resting on laurels during first half of the year.
No a single game is dated after March. From now on, we can only comment the Q1 line-up and it is strong with Animal Crossing and to a smaller extent, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. What line up? Of course it's a huge bomb.
Vicious circle of companies not supporting the switch because there's no big third party titles in a top 10 (because they don't exist).
The game could have sold its initial shipment and still not chart. It is just a very niche release, that doesn't make it a bomb.
Maybe XBO but not so bad for PS4. Although it will still drop pretty good if Sony doesn't cut the price. $299 this late is ridiculous.I wonder if PS4/XBO are looking at a more Wii like dropoff this year?
LMAORIP to the guy that thought TMS #FE on Switch would be a million seller in the US.
If it sold according to expectations, which I imagine weren't very high, it's not a bomb. Just not a big seller.
Yea I forgot smash
Usually NPD reports come during Thursday evening (US Time) but they are now doing it on Friday morning (US). So it is coming later than usual.

LmaoRIP to the guy that thought TMS #FE on Switch would be a million seller in the US.
Seeing ps4 and Xbox drop so much actually has me more worried how next gen will perform esp if they are 500$PS4 also had a very harsh yoy drop in Japan so far. Next gen really needs to to arrive soon
Oh great, I don't have to wait until 3 AM anymore lolUsually NPD reports come during Thursday evening (US Time) but they are now doing it on Friday morning (US). So it is coming later than usual.
It´s so crazy, that the PS4 had it´s first price cut not even 2 years after its release. (On October 9, 2015, the firstofficial price cut of the PS4 in North America was announced).
TheSwitch did not even have one pure price cut (if you dont count the Lite as an other form of price cut), and is still selling like crazy. I dont want to know what happens, if the OG Switch gets a price cut...madness.
DBZ kakarot? Damn.
Yeah unfortunately hopefully we can eke out Xenoblade X remastefirst
For sure, it's part of the reason I want to get it. I plan to start running again soon and have already started managing my diet and bettering my eating habits as I've gained a few Kgs the last few months, Ring Fit will provide the fun in the process. The price is steep, but imo it's worth it. While I haven't lost much weight from it, it did wonders for my blood pressure and overall stamina. I am being serious when I say this game along with my other life style changes is keeping me off of blood pressure medication.
