The golden rule of era, flop = success.
I hope the success of MK11 on Switch DESTROYS for good that notion that high profile 3rd party games cannot perform on the Switch. Every multi platform games should be on the Switch, no more excuses ! Capcom, Square Enix, EA, Activision, Ubisoft, etc...
Err...do you not get that stuff like RE engine straight up doesn't run on the switch? Doesn't run doesn't mean that it can't runErr...do you not get that stuff like RE engine straight up doesn't run on the switch? That's an excuse.

It doesn't run on Switch because it hasn't been ported to Switch. It runs pretty well on GPDWin2 though, RE Engine is quite scalable to Switch class hardware.Err...do you not get that stuff like RE engine straight up doesn't run on the switch? That's an excuse.
You make several assumptions that very possibly could be wrong:hm, FF10 behind Zelda on the Switch charts.
are the PS4, Vita, PC sales that much to make it overtake Zelda BOTW Switch + Zelda BOTW Wii U?
guess so.

To be fair, MK11 still sold more just on PS4.Damn impressed with Days Gone making number 2. No way in hell was it beating MK though, especially with it being on 4 platforms
And what, except "past Nintendo consoles" (which the Switch audience is significantly different from) are you basing this on?Put another way, they said can't know either way if it is a lack of games or buyers. honestly it's probably a mix of both.
ok, because then I don't know why you had to say it's not the latter when I didn't even suggested it. I was explaining that what I wrote initially could be interpreted either way and I meant the former.
No doubt it would. It's a series with a 25 year pedigree.
Yes it definitely is.Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's an impressive hold for Yoshi's Crafted World isn't it?
Yeah actually that's fair. a lot of third party big games on switch so far have been late to the game 'tests'.Ports tend to sell less then the original release, its no wonder MK11 managed to top it and that's if you don't count octopath

Isn't this kind of an elephant in the room? It's #3 for the year with only physical sales, on PC...
And this? At #2. Isn't digital purchases quite common on Switch?
Yes but this sort of thing is old news at this point.Isn't this kind of an elephant in the room? It's #3 for the year with only physical sales, on PC...

Yep. Blame Nintendo for not reporting digital sales numbers. Smash may actually have been on top of MK11, or not. We just don't know. And this? At #2. Isn't digital purchases quite common on Switch?
Doesn't Nintendo publish Minecraft on Switch? They, as a publisher, don't share digital sales, while Warner Bros does.So Mortal Kombat 11 on switch includes digital sales?
Then why Minecraft doesnt?

for sure. CTR is gonna do great on switch.I bet CTR is going to do great too and will probably sit behind Mario Maker 2.
Next gen will be interesting. Right now, power wise, switch is hanging on in keeping up with PS4/XB1.Some games would work and some not. But lowering the res and/or halving the framerate plus lowering lighting and textures can get it there decently.
Next gen will be fun to watch though.
The gulf in power between switch and PS5 will be MASSIVE. Taping 10 Switches together might get it there.
I don't expect that .gif will be used anymore, lol.
Except for that whole power issue. There are plenty of reasons a lot of third party games aren't ever coming to Switch, they just wouldn't be possible.
Because Microsoft, alongside sony, Sega and Altus do not provide digital sales for switch to NPD.
Credit to Mat:
It had a lower first month, but that's because it had a much shorter month. Mat seemed confident about MK11 selling as much or more in the same time frame.
nope
I got corrected by the post right below mine, but still thanks :)

LA Noire is not really an open world sandbox game. Yes the world is big but there isn't anything to do outside of the story and some random side crime busts.LA Noire, crime solving though and has been out for a while now so your point is mostly right.
