No, Brawl sales were higher. With digital included, there's a good chance ACNH outsold it tho!
Brawl did 2.7M, so that's the upper limit for ACNH at retail (without digital). Don't know a good lower bound for it, though.

While you all will jump on the Animal Crossing numbers, just want to point out a console exclusive baseball game out sold both RE3 and Doom.

Yes. So over 906k at least, and may have become the biggest non-holiday month ever (you need a bit over 1M sales for that). The reported record is revenue, and in March 2017, Switch was $300, while currently revenue is split between the OG and the Lite, so the number of units should be noticeably above the March 2017 number as well.
When we have the install base. The third party games will come. 🤔 wonder if switch is selling well enough for some publishers.
I bought one of those copies. It's been fun.
I really do like this one more than the other versions I've owned. I think it deserves the success and is the perfect game for the current state of the world.

I chalked it up to that for not putting out any PR about AC's first week, yeah. But they often like to do something around when the NPD release comes out. And with other companies like SE doing PR I'd think they would feel confident enough to do it too.
But I guess not.
