I'll get the PS4 version, because I have a PS4, and when I get PS5, I'll play the PS4 version (enhanced). If and when a PS5 version comes out, I'll buy that too.
Don't think so. I mean it gets delayed to June at tops, I still think it will come out at around April. That's plenty of time between the release and the potential release for the PS5. Also in my case, I don't think I'll get the PS5 on the release day.
I was always planning to wait for PS5 since it's so close but this makes the decision much easier.
Mind you, I will probably get a PS5 two years after launch like I did with the PS4, I just hope it's not another PS4 scenario where actual good exclusives don't arrive until way later than that.
As someone who is almost certainly not getting a PS5 at launch, I think I'll just get the PS4 version. PS5 version will probably just be an 8k upscale.
I'm hoping that sony goes and announce that it will have a patch for PS5 improvements so kinda a "buy it now for PS4 and you can experience it enhanced on PS5" marketing thing.
Unless it's coming out a month before the PS5 then I'm playing it on PS4.
TBH I don't think there'll be two different versions. Given that the PS5 is based in part on PS4 architecture I think the PS4 version will pop into your PS5 and there'll be some huge patch to download to bring in new textures and take advantage of the more powerful system.
I'm with some of the others here, why release two versions when the PS5 is backwards compatible? They'll probably patch in support for enhancements later. I doubt I'll wait, I'm weak and it looks great as is.
We don't even know the strategy for PS4/PS5 backwards compatibility, if there will be separate versions, or how long before a potential PS5 version would be available. The race to get up a thread on the hint of every news tidbit is crazy.
na it's still gonna come out before the PS5 launch so I'll still get it on PS4. Also while it's probably a safe bet it's gonna come to PS5 there's no guarantee so until stated otherwise I'm gonna assume it isn't
