I'm here for it!

(The trailer was age locked, too, had to sign in -- which makes sense, I guess.)

This is extremely weird/out of character for Nintendo. The fact it's age restricted and the whole tone of video.

I'm into it, has been a long time since Nintendo put out an M-rated game (unless you're counting Bayonetta as Nintendo).

Emio for Smash.

If you told me that Nintendo was about to release a cryptic, incomprehensible teaser trailer before 5 minutes ago I'd have bet $1000 that it would be for the new console. I think I probably would have lost? Wtf was that lol

Can't wait to play the Nintendo Emio. It's an organic system that looks like a person with a paper bag on their head. Nintendo truly innovates like no other.

The M rating is throwing me off.

Otherwise i could totally see them doing a 180 at some point and reveal something we didn't expect. Like they did with some of the Smash trailers.

This is really bizarre coming from Nintendo and that has me very intrigued.

They are not going to present Switch 2 with an M-rated marketing campaign.

This is almost sure about a game

Emio's gonna break into your house and replace your Switch with a Wii U.

You wanted a new console, right? That's what you've been asking for!

It likely is if I would guess. Nintendo has weirdly always like horror, even if they don't do a lot with it.
Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil Timed Exclusivity, Fatal Frame on Wii & WiiU. So if anything, this is finally filling in the trend for the Switch.
The only question is if its them just publishing a independent dev's game or thier making it themselves. Would be a huge shift if the latter given i dont think Nintendo themselves proper have ever done anything M rated

Nice to see them do some marketing that's a little different.

Hope it ends up being something cool!

The first Google search result for EMIO is from AMD lol that has to be an awkward coincidence.

Right?

I would love if this was never ever touched upon by Nintendo again and video was deleted soon. A real life creepypasta.

Not necessarily, it can be an estimate, like "Yeah, we think this is going to be M rate." It's done all the time.
Not really, having a straight-up rating means that the ESRB has already evaluated the game. There's another note for games estimated to be rated M by the developer but wasn't yet fully evaluated by the ESRB...
