Reset the clock.

The information comes from a close source of Nintendo Life - who also correctly informed us of the recent 2018 Indies Highlights presentation ahead of time. The Direct appears to be scheduled for 4pm PDT / 7pm EDT tomorrow (6th September), meaning midnight BST /1am CEST later that evening in Europe (or, technically, the next morning).

Don't Directs usually get at least 2 days of time before annonucement? If this rumor is true then it's likely to be another Mini Direct like the one back in January.

Hope the rumor about Square and some of its older titles is true. Hoping for some FF news e.g. Maybe announcement of Bravely ports?

Sometimes, but most Directs in the past (pre-2017) were announced one day ahead of time . I wouldn't be surprised if this is a Mini Direct though, with a general Direct following in October or November.

Huh, completely forgot that was the case. The Smash, Nindie and Dragalia Directs were all announced at least two days before IIRC. Guess a short hype cycle works well for a big Direct whilst the other smaller ones need more time to gather attention.

They aren't going to properly reveal Gen 8 before the next game that, despite the Internet insisting otherwise, is main series is released. That's marketing 101, you don't go indepth on your future upcoming product before its predecessor is out.

Masuda is on Pokénchi this weekend to reveal news about Let's Go. It's likely that news will be revealed beforehand because it was not listed as "World Exclusive"

  • Nintendo Switch Online segment
  • Updates for Mario Kart and Arms with NSO enhancements
  • Big Splatoon 2 update, "available today"
  • Pokémon #808 revealed for Let's Go
  • NSMBU Deluxe revealed
  • Yoshi footage, final name revealed
  • Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD officially revealed
  • Some third party and indie announcements
  • Smash newcomer reveal
