Probably nothing for me this month unless there's a surprise release or sale. It's mainly waiting for sales on stuff like Shantae, Bug Fables, maybe the Miku game.

I keep forgetting that Spongebob remaster is out this month. May give that a try in the future considering how it seems to be one of those rare good licensed games from the GCN/PS2/Xbox era.

I have tons of free time this summer, so I'll get as many games as possible. This is my June list currently:

Clubhouse Games
The Outer Worlds
Burnout Paradise
Descenders
Summer in Mara
Mr Driller DrillLand
Trails of Cold Steel III
Brigandine
SpongeRobert

Descenders was supposed to come out this month, not sure if this still is the case. I loved Lonely Mountains Downhill, but Descenders looks like more up in my alley.

Very interested in The Outer Worlds, but I'll wait because I doubt I'll have the time to play it in June (swamped with work + barely started Xenoblade). Also, I'm 99% sure the game will be filled with bugs and performance issues at launch and will be a much smoother experience later...

Thanks for the thread! :)

Clubhouse games and Brigandine for me this month. Nothing else unless some surprises pop up.

Jump king is amazing and its almost as good as Getting over it, but TBH $13 is too much for this game.

Right now, it's looking like only Outer Worlds for me - which I already have preloaded.

This is just as well, as it may give my wallet time to recover from the May onslaught.

Spongebob is looking like the only one for me this month, and even then I'll probably wait on it.

Probably nothing this month for me but as a newish switch owner I'm more looking for games I missed on sale. I'd get Clubhouse games if the handful of friends I have on Switch get it.

I'm definitely interested in Clubhouse Games and Mr. Driller but I'm going to hold off on them for now and save up for Paper Mario in July (I'm in the apparent minority that enjoyed Color Splash so I have no reservations about picking up Origami King).

I've been playing a lot of Hatsune Miku, got addicted to Panel de Pon all over again, and recently pulled the trigger on the Panzer Dragoon remake; so my shorter, pick-up-and-play gaming needs have been well served.

If I consistently stop myself from getting Borderlands than its nothing for me this month.
I already have Xenoblade to keep me occupied for the rest of June.

Do we know if Mr Driller is an entirely new game? It looks like Mr Driller 2 GBA with some mp stuff slapped on... hope I'm dead wrong because I miss this series so much, although the launch price is steep that ain't anything new for Mr Driller games 😑
It'll depend on what's in the package honestly, I could love it or it could crash my dreams 😂

From what I can tell & based on the name, it seems to be a remaster of the Japan only GameCube entry.

It's a port/remaster of a Japan only gamecube game

The TakeOver looks legit.
Releasing a side-scrolling beat em up on a platform right after Streets of Rage 4 is unfortunate timing though.
Thanks for the thread! :)

Do you know if you need to finish the original on PS1 before playing The Legend of Runersia?

My favorite thread every month! Hopefully, I can join in this month more often, but we'll see. I still have a good bit of games to get from the past two months.

Keep up the great work!

I'll try out some more Ninjala, but nothing else really catches my eye for June releases. Hopefully some surprise release from Nintendo?
I would be more interested in Shantae, but I think I'd rather pick up Half-Genie Hero when it's on sale before getting Sirens.

Decided to archive Indivisble for now and wait until it gets patched/updated. I had a few crashes and every time I would boot up the game, my controls were reset. I was liking it too, have like 17 hours or so in it.

New thread!

I already have clubhouse games pre-loaded. Can't decide what I'll actually buy in June. I'm leaning toward Burnout Paradise, depending on the performance.

Finally, a month we're I can catch up on my backlog.

Ah, who am I kidding? Something's gonna get stealth announced and I'll have to buy it. 😞

Just a quick note: In North America the Ninjala beta is happening right now until 8/9 pm PDT I believe, for those interested.

Might get that SpongeBob game if it end ups being a good port. I like the art style of the remake.

I actually never played the original, though. Is it actually good, or just good by licensed games standards?

I'm playing the original Bioshock again and it's still so good. Obviously the game is still atmospheric as hell, but the thing that surprised me the most is just how fun it is to actually play. Hacking mini-game excluded, the gunplay and melee is really fun and pretty punchy (especially that shotgun) and I'm seeing a whole new side of the game now that I'm trying to play more strategically and lay traps instead of shooting my way through everything like I probably did in my original play through.

Also, a really weird non-consequential thing; but this game still has my favorite-looking FPS hands. I just love the amount of animations they put in and the way your hands dramatically change with different plasmids active. It's insanely nit-picky but I feel like Bioshock 2 was kind of a downgrade in this regard.

Speaking of, I also got Bioshock 2 and hope to finally play more than the first 2 and a haf hours of it once I finish the first one, or at the very least go through Minerva's Den like everyone keeps recommending. I know the gameplay itself is greatly improved, but those opening hours are just missing that intangible quality that the first one has. Like it just lacks clarity of purpose and just exists.

I will definitely give it a far shot, though. I heard it gets really good later on.

Ah, goodie. Another banger month. It's not like Bug Fables, Atomicrops, The Wonderful 101, Shantae, Huntdown, and Xenoblade just came out or anything...

One thing the quarantine has taught me is even with all the time in the world, conquering your backlog is impossible. It's simply a fool's errand. There are more hours of new quality video gaming content in a given month than there are in the month itself.

Sometimes I still wonder if I'm in some self-conjured fever dream brought about by my crushing despair over Nintendo's state of affairs during the Wii U era. It's still insane to me that Nintendo actually managed to surpass the SNES in quality, quantity, and cultural relevance.

There aren't many bright spots in the world these days, but the Switch sure as hell is one of 'em.

Borderlands 1 has been a really solid port so far.

Only issue I mentioned in the last eShop thread which is that the gyro aiming doesn't work when aim-assist is turned on, and it's fairly weak even on the strongest setting. So you can either have aim-assist turned in and it'll control like a regular shooter with no gyro, or gyro turned on but regular aiming is much worse and the gyro isn't strong enough to compensate.
My preference is no gyro with aim-assist on (using the Hori Split Pad Pro for better analog sticks).

But performance seems really solid at least going off of the first several hours, and IQ is really solid in handheld mode. Some aliasing, but othing unexpected, and the resolutions seems native to my eyes (just don't quote me on that).
I am more used to playing these games on PC, so 30fps is a bit of a bummer, but it has been perfectly playable.

Definitely picking up Clubhouse Games. Will look into Ninjala perhaps. Otherwise, I'm going to be playing more Animal Crossing and dipping into Xenoblade all month.

Oh, I didn't realize Summer in Mara was coming out in June. I think it's too close to Animal Crossing for me at the moment, but I'll still be keeping in eye on it.

Nothing for-sure buys for me this month, as I'm really enjoying a steady pace of backloggery here in lockdown. Plus, next month's got me good with Catherine (probably) and Deadly Premonition 2 (definitely).

Just Bug Fables this month, eventually.

Hope I like it more than I do TTYD.

Great thread as always. Nothing for me this month. Going to keep playing Xenoblade until TLOU 2 comes out. I don't think there's really anything I'm interested in on Switch until Origami King in July. Maybe Ninjala depending on how the reception is when the full game drops.

Thanks for the thread!
It will probably be a calm month for me. Bought the BioShock collection and also started playing The Witcher 3 again so I'll have things to play throughout the month. Looking forward to any new announcements though!

I'm not even going to bother wasting my time typing "nothing for me this month" anymore because that never, ever happens.

Actually, if N++ goes on sale (lol), I'll grab that. Also looking forward to any news of Shiren coming over.
