Edit: Downloading some sort of update now actually. Man, this poor Zyddie person dealing with all the flack. Looks like they're well aware and working on many things at once, and are very in touch with the community.
Fans have been raging for months with issues on the prior two versions, and the Q/A Team seem to be coping as best they can. I'm glad the Switch version came out a few months late, at this point, most likely to avoid a lot of these same issues.

First-hand experience is not the be all and end all. An opinion or a review from a trusted site is as valid a source of information as your opinion, because hey they've played the game as well. My personal opinion is I'd trust a site like Eurogamer over, to be frank, someone like you, who has a vested interest in people buying AA or AAA games on Switch and has spent a good deal of money on Titan Quest, and therefore cannot be trusted not to be biased.
And jesus quoting an article is not 'parroting an outside doom and gloom source'.
We agree entirely on what you were replying to in my comment up above, the one you just replied to. I stated users on here, that I have familiarity with, can dissuade or encourage my viewpoints...as much...as outside writers can. I appreciate and weigh both styles of viewpoints when considering games. I concur with you AND myself! :)
Doom and gloom, yes. Because from what I recall, that Eurogamer article stated positives and negatives about this port, and people are largely referencing the negatives to fuel their discouragement of themselves, and others, in not buying the game. So pointing out solely negative things, and not weighing positives, is doom and gloom style thinking. To me, anyway.
I previously stated I saw the third Avengers movie, in a reply to someone else, twice and I thought it stunk both times. I wanted to make sure I didn't really enjoy it, so I watched it a bit more closely the second time. I'm the weird type of person, that actually doubles down exposure wise when I don't like something, to make sure I feel my opinion feels more valid for me when I'm airing it publicly, and when I express it. I don't care for Crash, and bought that series port not just to support AAA ports, but also because it as well had a price error, and I also wanted to make sure I wasn't judging the series harshly. Crazy ideas there...
Well, this all feels odd, defending enjoying a game I bought, to several users that haven't bought it, and can verify if said port sucks. It's been a wearing argument, and if anyone wants to debate this crap more, feel free to message me. I don't wish to push this thread on my end, any further down this road. It's also not fun.
And yes, I'd trust a Eurogamer review more than myself, or you, so that point doesn't necessarily sting my ego, or diminish my credibility for whatever it's worth too much anyway. I enjoy that site myself, and until you or I blog together for years and years, I'd say we're not as trusted sources in the public eye as they happen to be.
(I just reread that review, by the way, and it's a somewhat crappy write up, in the sense that half of it details the premise of the ten year old plus game rather than focus on the port, but also regarding the issues present are more due to the UI not being transformed to function more easily on consoles, and scaled text to work better for the Switch. Multiple users have stated here, including myself, that the text is passable while playing handheld. And the mouse to analog function is definitely not as good, or as bad, as it could be, but again that's more an issue of all three ports, than this one in particular. So....it's a crappy port not worth buying due to the mouse to analog transition, solely then??? Based on this article, that's a weak argument.
Nowhere does she mention any save file issues, which people have incessantly stated is an issue in the other ports, and something they fear to be in this one, and a reason why they're holding off purchase.)
