A while back when talking with Dark Cloud we realized than in order to announce the regular number of Nintendo games for the year, we would probably need 2 Directs before E3.

Now it would line up with a Mini (+ a general in April for example) but I won't get too confident just yet. If there is a Mini, insiders should know a few hours before like in January 2018.

There is a stream for DMC for switch tomorrow morning .... I doubt they will do a Mini-Direct at the same time !?!

Nothing is happening on a Friday in the west. If the stuff with the 14th is of any significance at all (which it really probably is not) it's referring to the 14th in Japan, which ends at 10am EST tomorrow.

Not just change a playlist.
Set the 2019 and 2014 february directs to private.
Both were february 14th.

But that´s it. And that´s enough for us god damn it.
wait a minute this actually sounds like something

"What if the Direct just happened out of the blue?"

"That would affect the threa-"

"That would end the thread. Isn't that why we hype the Direct, so we can watch the Direct, so we can go home?"

"Every time people try to hype a Direct before it's announced, people get salty. Every time."

In reality I'm guessing they were getting a lot of people searching/asking for February 12/13/14th Directs because many, many of us were expecting one this year. So seeing all those requests and queries they decided to remove the previous February 12/13/14th from the playlists so they didn't get too many hits.

Or something like that. I don't think this means anything else.

... they hid the Directs because too many people were watching old Directs?

Anyway - I'm #teamsometimeinthefuture now. Taking a risk.

I graduated from Syracuse University back in May, so as of September I've been getting my feet wet as a PA (Production Assistant) on a bunch of movies shooting in Central/Upstate New York. Basically assisting production in any way possible to make the shooting process as expedient and pain-free as possible.

I've done the grunt work like loading/unloading all our gear off the production trucks, I've personally driven, escorted, and gotten our main cast members "through the works" (i.e. through hair, makeup, and wardrobe) on time to meet our shooting schedule, I've been a Locations Assistant (location scouting, performing lockups on major highways with police so we can shoot stunts safely, etc.), and many more things!

Kind of a Swiss army knife position as I keep building my credits and work hours in the hopes of eventually joining the Directors/Producers guild as an Assistant Director OR Creative Producer/Development Executive. Leaning towards more creative than set-based -- working 65-75 hour weeks is not sustainable for me long term, especially when I do want to keep a dating life and eventually start a family lol.
Yeah long work weeks suck. I use to do 65+ hours a week doing Info Sec for a stock firm in NYC and it sucked. I left last year and now im a Network Admin for a school district. Much more relaxed + commute is way better.

Hope you eventually make the Guild.

A mini tomorrow isn't happening. 0% chance.

A mini later today has a tiny chance of happening. Like 0.5%.

But tomorrow in the west is Saturday in Japan, they're not doing a Direct then.
If the Mini goes up on the hour that Directs are usually announced (3PM CEST), it still constitutes a Friday release.

Sounds like that was definitely the right career move for you! Happy to hear it. Thanks for the support - it'll also be nice to eventually have a more steady stream of income. I get paid pretty well while I'm working because of all the overtime, but then it's 3-4 weeks without pay before the next shoot, in most cases.
