So we're at the very least only 7 days between the longest wait between non-Mini Directs and we're 9 days past the longest wait between General/Mini Directs.
It's just crazy.

My sources say Nintendo cancelled Directs right around the time they realised they were an effective marketing strategy.
Also heard they're considering cancelling developing games because they realised that's a good way to make money and sell hardware but don't quote me on that

it wouldn't surprise me if they've put direct plans on hold to deal with the manufacturing crisis. I imagine a few schedules and dates have been messed up.
