Nate says a Nintendo Direct is happening later this month in June. Will be curious to see if that actually happens. If so then I'll be more inclined to believe Nate on this Banjo rumor but damn I want a Banjo game so damn badly and I'm a middle aged man lol.
I think at this point it would make more sense to put a team on remaking Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie, with full next gen visuals and if that pans out and sells well, maybe that team can make an actual Banjo-Threeie. Feels like that would be the best course of action at this point.

Don't have to believe me but MVG also shared he heard of a Banjo project from many at GDC. Take it for what you will.
Honestly, New Banjo releasing on both Switch and Xbox makes perfect sense. MS clearly knows there's a fan base on Switch, they might as well make it happen.

Yup I agree for sure. Unless it's targeting their next system. Game could still be years out if it's even real at all.
As a great Banjo fan, I think this are great news, but I'm a bit skeptical as I don't think anyone will be able to do a proper threeie outside of Playtonic, and they would only work in their own IPs. Of course I will be there day one, but I suspect it will be something in the veins of the new perfect dark, just the characters and names.
For now I just want Tooie on switch, I'm happy with that.

Yes. He's been great but he completely botched the Switch OLED by insisting it was the Switch Pro. He has admitted this, though, so he's all good in my book.
If Xbox, Cloud and PC isnt a large enough audience for an IP it doesn't deserve to continue.
Pretty sure he said Chrono Cross remaster was on PS only, but it got refuted by Sal on the same thread.
