I mean, the most obvious thing to do is release a trilogy remaster?? They don't need anyone telling them that's the smart move so the question is, why the hell hasn't this happened yet?
I'm currently playing ME1 for 360 on my Xbox One because I couldn't get controller to work for PC. This may be the best current way to play but it's not ideal, and actually is a pretty sad state Of affairs overall.

I hope with EA recent comments about olde r titles, we will see the remaster happen. I'm dying to play this with a fresh coat of paint in the way of bigger res/framerate and shorter load times. I want to give you my money come on guys lol

ME4.

Set 20-30 years after the "Perfect" version of the Destroy Ending.

New villains unrelated to the Reapers in anyway.

Re-birth of the Geth.

Old Man/Old Woman Shepard as a cameo.

This is what they need to do.

I respect the idea of starting over in Andromeda, it wasn't a bad premise. But the game was disappointing so that premise is poisoned now. Milky Way or bust. People who don't like them canonizing a trilogy ending will just have to deal with it.

I want to see Andromeda 2. I'd love to see them redeem the Andromeda arc in the eyes of the fanbase. I genuinely believe Andromeda sets the foundation for a great trilogy plotline and would love to see them nail a sequel. I worry that the name carries too much of a negative connotation that even if they turned things around and made it everything a typical Mass Effect fan would want, people would still turn up their nose.

I really want more Mass Effect. I wish others liked Andromeda as much as I did, but I'll just take whatever comes next at this point.

Either just do a straight up mass effect game without the fucking galaxy saving bullshit(let me be an outlaw or something, firefly but mass effect. Or a completely different spectre)

Or if honestly a Deus Ex type game, that's all about a citadel csec cop. You can finally make the citadel a bigger hub/setting, and have it live up to the billing.

it was so bizarre to me that the first games citadel is still the only one with any real room to explore because it got progressively wack over the course of the series.

I'd argue ME3's Citadel is a cut above ME2's. Neither is half as good as 1's, of course.

It might have been. My memory is that it wasn't as good as ME1, and even ME1 is modest when you think of how big the citadel truly could be as a central point for the fucking universe.
Imagine a space noir game in that place, there are so many cool things they could be doing with this series, and it's never gonna happen.

The next game is gonna have some ancient evil that's gotta be taken out shit ;_;

They should make a smaller game next so they have less they can screw up. Just set it on one planet with a lower-stakes story and no chosen one stuff.

I want a Mass Effect 4 but the entire game is based around being inside Shepards head a la Being John Malkovich. Bonus points if the trailers are really misleading.

At this point, I'm not sure if I'm confident enough that BioWare can make a brand new Mass Effect game as good as the trilogy, so I would rather them just remaster/remake it.

Honestly, I've played the trilogy and enjoyed it but I don't think the Mass Effect universe is all that good or unique. I'm cool if we never see another ME game.

I would love if they offered a truckload of money to Drew Karpyshyn and asked him to write another game.

I actually want to see them build up on Andromeda. I don't want to invest in something only for it to be thrown away later for something else.
Maybe change the cast and call it something else, but build upon the premise that Andromeda laid out.

Mass Effect Remake, even if it's in the 2 and 3 engine. That would be fine. But 2 and 3 remastered in 4K.

Everyone's like "remaster trilogy, but remake the end of 3" but let's be real here: the end of 3 is ace compared to anything Bioware has made lately. And that's coming from someone who hates the ending of 3..

I wish they would use the setting for a new game, but I don't have faith in the Bioware magic anymore.

Remaster the original trilogy, include every piece of DLC and stop there. I really don't think I want BioWare even bothering with a brand new Mass Effect.

Oh yeah. A space noir sounds rad as heck.

Yeah naw, Andromeda's ending is basically them trying to do ME3's but right. It's definitely the best part of that game's story.

Much of Anthem's story is fine as well. Not great but it'll do.

Remaster Mass Effect 1
Remake Mass Effect 2
Make old ME2, ME3 and ME:A non-canon, don't even offer an explanation. Keep the sidekicks (and their loyalty missions) from ME2 and throw out everything else. No illusive man, cerberus are back to being insignificant evil terorist clowns, no collectors, no harbinger, no dead/resurrected Shephard, alliance are not a bunch of idiots sitting around doing nothing. Make zaeed and kasumi integral to the team. Follow up on the plot threads from ME1.

After that, we should have a proper ME3 to finish the trilogy
The genophage and geth-quarian war subplots can continue and conclude as we know from old ME2/3. Throw out everything else from ME3 (including the musclehead sidekick).

I'd like to see them not develop another rMass Effect game. Maybe sell the license to CD Projekt RED?

Honestly, I just don't trust them to make another Mass Effect game.

get EA to sell the franchise to a publisher willing to put decent writers on it and pretend that ME3 never happened

Remaster the trilogy and get it out cross or next gen. It'll sell like mad and you've got interest and capitol to make a new Mass Effect game.

The real question is who's left at Bioware to make the thing. A genuine question, as I understand many project leads from the 360 era have left the company. After their last two releases I'm more concerned about Bioware as a whole than one specific IP. Hopefully Dragon Age with dissuade those fears.

A C-Sec immersive sim set in the Citadel

A Thane stealth action game based on his backstory

A Strategy RPG with Fire Emblem mechanics and XCOM tone

So much potential in the ME universe for games we'll likely never seen realized

Remaster the trilogy (including all DLC) but completely remake the ending for Mass Effect 3 so that it's not a dumpster fire and so that it actually leaves room for more ME stories to be told without having to be completely divorced from the OG trilogy

I'll take the remasters. Outside of that I hope they never try again with this series. They had something amazing and ran it straight into the ground and have since shown that all they can do is design by committee, and fuck that up too. If they manage to not ruin DA again, which I have basically no hope of, then maybe I'd have some hope for ME.

Honestly though I feel like Bioware might be the studio that lost it's way the worst this gen. Just an all around terrible output

They ask this every N7 Day. Over the years my answer went from "Moar Mass Effect!!!" every year to "Stay the fuck away from Mass Effect" now.

In the future, I'd like them to figure out a way to make exploration fun. Please limit the amount of time I have to spend in a menu as well. Especially since the menus are probably going to be poorly designed.
