Something that's bothering me -
post credits scene at the end of season 3 had Vera strolling right up to Elliot's place with his boys.
Where's the continuity here? You would habe thought this would have lead into season 4 like the cold opening did with Pryce and Angela, but it's not addressed at all.
and Esmail appearing feels like more than a cameo. Getting Stephen King inserting himself into the Dark Tower for plot vibes.
Incredible premiere.
Angela isn't dead.

Is there any legal way to view this without resorting to torrenting? I missed the episode last night and wanted to get caught up, but couldn't really find if it was available next day anywhere.
My God what a premiere. This totally has potential to be series of the year, and we got The Deuce, Mindhunter, The OA and Too Old To Die Young in 2019. Incredible.

Also, hol-eeeee shit. What a ride. I was confused at the beginning for a bit thinking it was still in recap mode, then it drops the hammer. Fucking genius.
Great first episode, the first scene with Angela was so well played. It's scary how calculating Mr. Robot is when he's operating in fusion mode. I expect lots of fake outs before this all comes to an end.
Girlfriend and I both cracked up at this. Elliot was just like, peace out, I can't deal with this nonsense.Speaking of sick transitions. I can't find a gif of it, but this right here when Elliot tuned out and let Mr. Robot talk to Darlene was super slick.

And it was shot two years apart, too!The opening scene transitioning directly from the recap into brand new material is going to be legendary and copied a lot in the next decade.
Whiterose testing their loyalties.

Look at the ceiling in that scene.Speaking of direction, I think Price's phone call with Whiterose is the first time the show has used a shakey handheld cam.

Esmail seemed to deliberately doing a lot of very non-Mr. Robot camera shots this episode, might've been to represent that Price, Tyrell, Elliot and Darlene's mental states are all completely trainwrecked.
White Rose's hitmen go to all the effort and don't wait another 30 seconds to make sure he is dead.

Shit, I wish I had that for all the conversations I don't want to deal with.
USA allows it after 10pm Eastern. The first season the audio was dropped. Were they always allowed to say fuck as much as they want on this USA show? I can't quite remember how it was in earlier seasons.
Deadline has learned that the USA drama created by Sam Esmail received a 0.13 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic for its season four premiere, slipping significantly from the season three opener which received a .22 rating. The debut also netted approximately 440,000 viewers which is another dip from season three which had nearly 680,000 viewers.
