these aren't my favorite movies of all time but they're the closest to perfect for what they tried to accomplish, off the top of my head:

Princess Bride (adventure comedy)
Master and Commander (adventure)
Titanic (epic)
Dr Strangelove (satire comedy)
The Godfather (crime)
Memento (twisty)
The Court Jester (slapstick comedy)
Spirited Away (animation)
Avatar (tech demo)

Amélie (2001)

It just fires on all cylinders. From the charming story to the incredible production (soundtrack, cinematography, editing, lens filters, etc.).

Just a beautiful experience.

I just rewatched Into the Spiderverse yesterday and can confirm it is still perfect.

As is my OG favorite movie - Halloween (1978).

What movies would you consider to be absolutely perfect? Not a single flaw that weighs them down?

For me, my list would be

Star Wars: A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
Ghostbusters (1984)
Back to the Future
Terminator 2
Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan
Jurassic Park
Home Alone
Men In Black
The Avengers
The Dark Knight
Beauty and the Beast (1991)
Aladdin (1992)
The Lion King (1994)
Sunset Boulevard
Casablanca

To name but a few.

Good list, although I don't entirely agree with The Avengers. That has more to do with the way the Hulk is rendered more than anything though, but I always found it distracting. Also, despite The Dark Knight being one of my favorite films, it's not flawless at all, and Heath Ledger is primarily the reason I watch it.

I would add:

Jaws
Alien
Aliens
The Matrix
The Thing (1982)
Halloween (1978)
Gremlins
Robocop
Total Recall
Evil Dead 2
Akira
Ninja Scroll
Princess Mononoke
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
It Follows
Pulp Fiction
Kill Bill vol 1
Seven
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Fugitive
The Fifth Element
Disctrict B13
Casino Royale (2006)
Guardians of the Galaxy (this is the real best "Marvel" movie)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
LOTR trilogy - theatrical editions (I watch the extended versions, but not everything about them is great)
The Raid Redemption

I'm a very picky person. It drives people nuts. There are hardly any films I'd call perfect. Off the top of my head.

A Man for All Seasons
Come and See
Ran
Raging Bull
Harakiri
Apocalypse Now

But there are many films that aren't perfect that could be considered better than some of those above, based on the overpowering strength of certain moments, scenes, performances, etc.

Very few, even amongst my favourite films. I think No Country for Old Men would fit the bill.

Watched No Country for Old Men last week. Did not expect to stay engaged so much throughout the whole thing. Everyone played their roles perfectly. The lack of music really sucks you in. Anton is one of the most intense villains I've seen.

There are obviously others but the one on top of my head is The Prestige.
The damn movie is a magic trick!
