The *only* thing I liked about water combat was torpedo mode as a lancer.
So how are the controls with m/k? Or is a controller the better way to play?
Isn't the Ti really really close to the normal 1070 tho ? Anyway, yeah I feel like I might have to turn another setting or two down to get proper locked 60 fps. We'll see
I posted a stream on the last page from team red. Should still be archived. Are there any impressions from AMD CPU/GPU users yet? I've only seen one guy and he used an intel cpu.
Was holding back on a pre-order w/ discount from GMG to determine if it's a working port. Seems to be safe enough to order now :)
So an i7 8700K + GTX 1080 Ti cannot run this at 4K 60fps?This channel has posted performance tests on various GPUs: https://www.youtube.com/user/Back2GamingYT/videos
The 1080Ti can't run many games at 4k/60 at their highest settings. That's not a strange or new concept.
Turning down or even disabling "Volume Quality Rendering" can give you about 40% performance. Going down to the high pre-set (instead of the highest) seem to boost fps by another 30%. Maybe still not enough for locked 60 fps at 4k on a 1080Ti but I'm pretty sure 4k/60 are possible with some time and tinkering.
We have to see how the pc version compares with the console versions to be able to make a statement about the quality of the port. All we can say right now: It's a very taxing game at highest setting, but it seems to scale pretty well, the visual differences between the high and the highest pre-set aren't huge (but performance difference is) and consoles are having trouble running the game too (at least at release).
What? How is this game not pushing advanced visuals? Which games do push advanced visuals?those games typically are pushing advanced visuals. this is not

Now we've gone fullblown ludicrous in attempting to attack the game.this game looks like a mildly enhanced xbox 360 game. open world games that push advanced visuals would be titles like assassins creed origins which actually runs at higher framerates than this title
those games typically are pushing advanced visuals. this is not
So what? Doesn't change the fact that the 1080Ti isn't able to run most AAA games at 4k/60 and max settings.
There is no reason to be artificially shocked about the fact that it can't Max out MHW at 4k/60 either. People complaining about "ultra setting" performance are the reason for bad port accusations and why we can't have cool and future proof ultra settings anymore. All the whining about performance at ultra settings got ridiculous today.
If you ask me, 4k is the wrong direction the industry is moving upon anyway. I take high refresh rates over 4k any day. But that's my personal opinion.
a 1080ti being unable to hit 4k/60 in games pushing graphics rendering to high levels isnt really relevant to a game not
If you want to play the game at what essentially would be lower graphical fidelity than consoles then yes you can turn "volumetric shite" off.So let me get this right : i7 6700k + GTX 1070 + M.2 SSD should get me 60fps @1440p with that volumetric shite off ? Or is that just for 1080p ?

because this isnt an AAA game. its irrelevant whether or not a 1080ti cant run some AAA games at 4k 60 when talking about a game of this caliber
you think this game is in the same category as something like uncharted, spiderman, horizon, TLOU etc?
just to be clear were using the metric in terms of development budget and amt of respources put into the game, and not how good/bad the game is right?

His ass tells some great tales, I hear.Let's go with that metric just for the argument's sake. What tells you the budget of this game wasn't in the same ballpark as the games you mentioned?
Loosely. Its using hugely outdated technology and is clearly not a ground up psbone titleMonster Hunter World is a mobile port?Dead rising was ruined this genDead Rising 3?No. They have released 1 good game the entire generation. Not counting remasters and mobile ports
Monster Hunter World?
Revelations 2?
RE7?
Monster Hunter Stories?

We won't know for sure the ideal settings a 1060 needs for 1080p60 without drops until either someone with access to review versions of the game do more thorough tests than what has been done so far, or until the game releases, but based on footage so far, I think it may be possible to get 1080p60 with a 1060 with a mix of low, medium and high settings (depending on the settings, I guess volume rendering will have to be either on low or even off, meanwhile settings that I assume will be low demanding like texture quality and others could probably be on high or highest?).Can a 1060 play this game 1080p 60 fps other than low to medium settings? Maybe a 1070 can for high settings.
Playing with both for the review. I find the controller just works much better. As someone else said the mouse and keyboard work well for range weapons. Overall though its not really my favorite mouse and keyboard title and while I am still messing with that it just never feels spot on.So how are the controls with m/k? Or is a controller the better way to play?
It's showing up on my steam list now. LET ME IN! Feels so strange to finally see it there.

Natively supports Dualshock 4 with full button prompts. Can we play with a PS4 controller without fiddling with any third-party programs?
