something that I never felt with risen shagaru or risen valstrax

Reaching their 241 versions is what made me fine with not grinding any further to reach the super high level things. Know there is another step up at like 281 or something with different move sets but reached as far as I really want to go.

I need to stop playing Rise and go back to World.

BD + Wire Bugs + Switch Skills makes the movement so fun and good, that I doubt Wilds will be close to it.
I need to start practicing the slower and more methodical movement from World to get ready for it

Lol I'm telling you, the struggle is real hahaha. I'm working through World now and find some of the weapons just plain boring by comparison.

Had a sudden Monster Hunter itch this morning, and saw that the Rise / Sunbreak bundle was on sale on ps5 for $26, so I bit. I haven't played since the Switch launch of Rise. Didn't stick around long enough for Sunbreak expansion. Hoping the Playstation playbase is still active enough that when the time comes I can hop into matches easily.

Well a good thing with Sunbreak is that you can use the partner NPCs on like every mission now so even if it isn't you can still have a group.

Do you guys think Rise or World are easier to get into as a beginner?

I am biased as I have loved every last MH since Freedom. Every one of em.

Personally I do not think you would struggle with either game at the start. Since World, I think the Monster Hunter games have been far better about the on-boarding part of the game. With World the beginning is quite slow, as it helps you understand the loop, the game play, your options, the services in the hub, etc. Rise, personally, I felt had less hand-holding (not by a lot) but it is also quite easy in the beginning so you get some wiggle room in that way.

Rise is often called more 'arcade-y' by some. To me arcade-y is ... more like God Eater. I liked the style and characters in both game quite a bit.
Each brings a bit of unique aesthetic to the series, World and Rise. I'd say World can feel more realistic and though I hate to use the word, immersive. Rise feels faster, flashier, over the top to some. Rise is more colorful, different palette, more energetic compared to World's more weighty, rooted in the ground, world.

Depending on what you are playing them on, both can be had for quite a low price in places so perhaps that allows you to just... pick one and see?

Think both work but it may be easier to transition to Wilds from World since the new skills from Rise may not go there. Also once you get use to wirebug movement it can be harder to live without it.

Fair points, thank you! I've tried a bit to get into MH and I like the concept of it but haven't stuck with one. The learning curve is definitely steep.
