It would be fitting karmic justice if this blatant act of attempted fraud would get the damn Wilpons out.
IDK. This front office just likes having EXTRA position players to have around for some apparent reason. Not extra pitchers like we need. Just extra position players. :/Pirates trade David Freese to the Dodgers. Not sure why LA wants another infielder.
I really want to see what he can do as a starter but I'm guessing he's getting the Rosenthal treatment.
The Jays should have traded Stroman, Sanchez and Donaldson before last season and gotten something for them while they were still good and not oft-injured. Kickstarted a rebuild and did it properly instead of delaying it to fill the seats with more Millenials.
Now they seem to have gotten a shit return for who was one of their best players and still could be, all because they waited far too long.
These idiots in management suck.
Only thing I'm bummed about is that they didn't trade him last winter like I wanted.I remember when there were Blue Jay fans. They would be bummed right now if they still existed.
Another 10-15 years of endless rebuilds and low attendance until they acquire someone like 2015 Donaldson again and the team has a decent season.I'm not saying they should have. I'm just saying that they should have traded them before, and started the rebuild earlier, instead of delaying it for attendance reasons. Looks where it's gotten them and those players.

The Jays have a lot of up-the-middle talent coming up, and will have next year's Ronald Acuna manning 3B out of spring training. The Jays will be ok if they get a starter or two.
they threw the fans a bone in Kopech :PCould be worse. W.Sox not calling up Eloy Jimenez is ridiculous. The owners gotta throw their fans a bone even if it means a year loss before FA.
That's the one guy I didn't want being traded away from the Cubs. He's going to be special.
Baseball favours the big markets, and it's always going to be hard to compete against the scumbag Yankees and Red Sox in this division.
Yup
Grova is an outstanding individual
Ownership has treated it like one in the past, not paying enough to secure as much talent as needed. Also, it's overlooked by a lot of people and players because it's Canadian and not American.
It's not like LA, NY or Boston, where they have basically unlimited funds.
That sounds like an ownership problem not a market problem. Mets are from the same city and they are horrible because their ownership is inept and penny-pinching.
Part of it is, sure, but a lot of American free agent players don't want to play in a different country. That's not ownership's problem, it's the League and sport's.
Bless his soul for rooting for Cam
1-2 months of a player with question marks about his health don't usually have that much trade valueAll I'm seeing is "player to be named later". Considering the Jays sent Donaldson + cash, that better be one helluva good player for an MVP.
Blow it up!
