Looks like they got some more stock in quickly for Granblue, as it's up on amazon.

Slowly but steadily Ring Fit is approaching 20k yen at Amazon.

There's a big question mark for its logistics. If what had been produced before Chinese New Year has been sent to Japan by air because of high demand whatever can be shipped to retailers anymore is what there is in Nintendo warehouses and that is close to zero.

I did ask this yesterday, but it was ignored, so:

Could Nintendo reshift their Vietnam production plant to produce a bigger share of units for the Japanese market, since there are still units available for Western ones? Or how logistically possible would it be to get units currently in European and US warehouses shifted back to the ones for the Japanese market?

Also, it's now confirmed that all Foxconn factories won't open on Monday

P.S. Did (small) shipments of Switch units happen the past few days at stores or absolutely nothing could be put on shelves? And what are the chances we see weeks with sales under 10k at this point.

In normal circumstances, I would expect Switch over 80k next week (probably closer to 100k), due to Animal Crossing pre-orders opening.

With the stock problems, it depends on how many units of the OG model where left at stores. I'm gonna guess something around 20-30k for the OG next week. Lite is fully available so it will probably lead sales if there isn't stock of the OG. Doubling this week's numbers seems affordable, so over 40k.
Overall I expect 60-70k. It could go higher if Lite picks up the lack of OG models.

Or how logistically possible would it be to get units currently in European and US warehouses shifted back to the ones for the Japanese market?
I don't see any of this as possible, that would increase costs by a lot and would take weeks to materialize even if it could happen.

Konami should just port PES mobile. It already uses UE4, should be a snap. Only downside is the visuals look PS2 level.

Looking forward to seeing Granblue Versus numbers next week. Ballpark of 300k+ seems increasingly likely, which is fantastic for a fighting game not named Smash. Sadly I do expect these sales to be a large percentage overall, the franchise just isn't well know outside Japan. Hopefully good word of mouth can give it legs and some more Western appeal.

300k? Really? The first day shipment and digital was 150k for all of Asia right? And it probably sold through its initial Japanese stock on day 1-2.

Would they really have shipped 200k+ more during this weekend to japan and sold through it?

I do believe the demand is there for it and we just got news of restocking going on so I'm optimistic about it. Also counting digital in that number.

Great highlights especially DQ. The legs on that game, for a single-player RPG, are insane.

Another single-player RPG is missing from that list. You would have never guessed a major DLC released for KH3. I guess no one was waiting for FF characters or playable side supporting characters. Still in the end it sold better than the original release of the first game. Maybe a Final Mix release help rekindle some interest.

Nook co. will need government intervention after the switch sales are out. Monopoly got out of hand on the animal forest construction sector.

All this hype for Animal Crossing is really making me interested in trying it out for the first time. I have a lot of friends (and funny enough, know some professors who are going to get the game and would be down to play Online with me). Is the game fine for someone who plays on and off due to busy work schedules?

All these pre-order bonuses for Animal Crossing is an attempt from retailers to to minimize digital share since it's a game that many will prefer to buy from eShop. With the short period between the opening of pre-orders and release it will remain at the top spot of physical and digital charts for at least 2 months.

I was guessing a "not Smash/Pokémon"-esque opening sales for Animal Crossing due to it's nature of being a "daily app" which would make people prefer downloading it rather than purchasing a physical copy. After all these pre-order bonuses and other junk people will get when purchasing a physical copy, I dare to say it will be within 7-digit numbers on opening, and blast Switch HW sales somewhere between 250k and 350k.

It's the entire reason why this game is popular with adults. Even if you leave it for months the villagers will probably ask are you OK and cheer you up.
