So, balloon recovery, confirmed then?I believe they said before that they've not shown all the activities available so far. That, and not everything is unlocked from the get-go. You'll unlock certain activities as you progress in the story, so I think it's possible we were purposely not shown a lot in this particular example.
Spectacular.
Lol, no. They've specifically said that and pizza deliveries were not in the game multiple times now, in fact.

Because it's a dark and gritty niche game, we don't get those too often.
Because it's a Sony exclusive if it wasn't I wouldn't be nearly as hyped
Yup, some of the side activities will require you to race across the city, if I recall correctly.I fully expect something along those lines like some kind of time trial. It might be delivering pizza but it could be racing to a date with MJ or anything that requires Spidey to high tail it across Manhattan as fast as possible.
So... pizza recovery and balloon deliveries.. got it.Lol, no. They've specifically said that and pizza deliveries were not in the game multiple times now, in fact.
I kinda hope they do have them in just as once off easter eggsLol, no. They've specifically said that and pizza deliveries were not in the game multiple times now, in fact.
Has there been any word on a New Game +? That's the last piece of the puzzle for me at this point. This will assuredly be one of my favorite games ever regardless, but NG+ will get me to play it again and again in all of those amazing alternate suits!
Yep, I find it for you :)
For those who want to see the whole map of the game (video at link)
It's huge :D

Looks like they cut out Harlem. Not the best look, tbh but maybe a mini-version of it is still in the game.
Was also hoping to see at least some of Queens since that's where Peter Parker is canonically from.

Perfect :) Hard to tell with modified maps.
Maybe we'll find something in one of his backpacks! That would be fun.I kinda hope they do have them in just as once off easter eggs
Peter gonna munch down a chopped cheese when I take him there
Hope he can hang with the bodega cats.
You can't expect them to just stop eating their shawarma, can you? That'd be disrespectful!my only nitpick for this game is no other marvel hero guest characters. you have avengers building, dr strange home etc but they'll never show up in game. I mean, if the game universe already acknowledge that these heroes exists. event like prison breakaway should alert Avengers at the very least.
Hopefully we get a Marvel games universe. I think the biggest concern, aside from the QTEs, are the side activities. Engaging side content is something every open world spiderman game has failed at, swinging around New York City is fun, but only for so long and repetitive side missions make the world feel like an after thought. On the other hand, the Batman games did a terrific job with this, the side missions had great self contained stories, the world was filled with puzzles - hardly any of the side content felt like busy work. I hope there are fewer gang beat up and car chase missions, and more unique and intriguing side content
Yup, I love the main costume.I love it too. Especially the white arm & hand part looks so cool with power.
Personally, I wouldn't want other developers to be limited to what Insomniac's made. If they need a different version of Spidey for their story, then go ahead. Make their own. If they specifically want to build on top of what Insomniac's done, though, then go ahead. I'd love that too.Hopefully we get a Marvel games universe. Yeah I could do without the other heroes present entirely tbh. I get why the references are there, but it makes Spidey feel less special in his own dang game lol. I like my crossovers for special occasions and less casual. Seems like if the Raft had a breakout with a pile of supervillains, Iron Man would be there in about 2 minutes and the whole plot would get shut down. Spidey needs some room to shine.my only nitpick for this game is no other marvel hero guest characters. you have avengers building, dr strange home etc but they'll never show up in game. Nah, I want the full universe. Maybe this game will be the Iron Man moviePersonally, I wouldn't want other developers to be limited to what Insomniac's made. Agreed, love this gif including those two walking toward the camera shots of him, they look great. So happy with the way Spidey walks. His gait looks really natural and doesn't look awkward at all like in some other games I've played before.
That's much better but that's also because had the map only been within the confines of that smaller pic it would've been shockingly small. Now it seems more in line with recent open world games.Nope, that was the part available for the demo journalists/players could play at E3
The full map in my post just above :)
In 2005. You could go to Queens in Ultimate Spider-Man.When is a Spider-Man game going to let me go to the best parts of NYC? Aka Brooklyn and Queens.
They keep failing us in that regard.

The Projects, I want to swing through Brownsville, Lefrak and QueensBridge Projects. The people and atmosphere make those areas what they are. For someone from NY, Manhattan turns boring by the time your ten, if you commute to the city (manhattan) the last thing you want to do is go back into the city. I'm just saying there is more to NYC than the touristy parts.I'm not from the area but what is the best about those parts? Don't they lack high buildings?
Can sequel set other place that has no/lack tall buildings to swing around ? like L.A. ?
Spiderman, but not in NY? Blasphemy. Can sequel set other place that has no/lack tall buildings to swing around ? like L.A. ?
I remember reading that some will pull a gun outCan't believe I live in a world where people are saying that Yuri Lowenthal's voice acting is bad.
Also am curious to see if we have pedestrians that heckle Spidey when he walks by, not everyone loves him you know.
It's Spider-Man so no. Next game might have more the city available and there's plenty of New York that's fairly squat. Can sequel set other place that has no/lack tall buildings to swing around ? like L.A. ?
Holy shit that's insane
They'll also change throughout the story
Even walking on the street isn't safe for Spider-Man. Sure, there are plenty of people who will gawk and stare, and even stop to take snapshots of Spidey with cell phones when he's hoofing it. However, for every person Spidey gives the ol' finger guns to (a real thing you can do with the press of a button), there's some jerk with a real gun to shoot back at you.
Probably in one of the last chapters, Spidey fails something spectacularly and all the pedestrians save for a few believers are against him.
