The Avengers is 11 months away from release. This is what Peter Parker looked like in a trailer 13 months before the release of the game.
Man, that presentation was a mess.
They barely told or shown anything about the game. It shouldn't be that hard.
But it might end up a by the numbers action game from the looks of it. What a bad presentation.
Are people really trying to claim Nolan North doesn't have range?
This is one of the reasons why I think this might not actually meet its release date after all. I mean, it will depend how good the game will look in gameplay, but I have a feeling that whatever kinks this game has, they will make sure it doesn't before it's released. The idea of this game as a Glass, regardless of how much unpopular it might look, it's just too good for them to just shrug it and release it without being something as good as Spider-Man or better. This game is coming very close to FFVII, I'll never understand how they show a "In-Engine" trailer when the game is less than a year away... Why not make a gameplay presentation like they did for FF VII, that was perfect.
Will we able to see the gameplay demo on the show floor? Or is it a no camera zone?
I don't see it. Banner is very MCU. The costumes designs are very MCU. The lineup is very MCU.
They are trying to launch off of the movie perception of the Avengers, which cartoons have done too.
I'm sure he does it more than I'm thinking, but does Thor hover like he does at 0:52 much?
Doesn't he throw himself around with the hammer? I've never read many comics with him, but the idea of him floating and holding his hammer without spinning it feels off.
I laughed when I saw the cast. You can't escape them. They're everywhere. In all honesty, why the fuck are the same four people responsible for half of the starring roles across all of AAA gaming?
I'm going to against the grain here and say that to me, Spider-Man doesn't as well. I was saying since the first trailer that said game had no business being photoreal, and then Into the Spider-Verse came along and proved me right.
Right from the director's mouth, and what there were that it looked gameplay it looked absolutely brilliant, imho. Didn't know that the director of Uncharted: Lost Legacy was the one directing this, I love that game.
This entire thing feels like CD isn't aware the MCU exists and these characters have all been in multiple billion dollar movies
Please help me understand the trend of this year's E3.
Avengers comes out in a year, which implies that they could show actual gameplay. If the game-develop isn't there yet, well, then the game won't come out in a year.
It's friggin' Avengers! Biggest franchise right now and they are showing just a CGI-trailer with some butt-faces. I really can't believe this timeline is happening.
Of course I'm wearing tinfoil right now and expecting the worst outcome, because we've been burned this gen so often.
So even if those little snippets were actual gameplay, I'm expecting huge downgrades or it looking completely different/less impressive in a not quickly cut-together scenario.
I'm just guessing, but I imagine make a polished e3 gameplay demo would take months that is better spent on finishing the game instead. so it's easier to show in game cinematic or cg trailer that didn't change much between now and release. a gameplay demo is probably harder to do, game design may changed here and there, or they will need to find and fix bugs so they didn't have shit happen during presentation etc. Please help me understand the trend of this year's E3.

Once again, we're talking Avengers here. Every friggin game on the planet gets at least a 2-5 minute gameplay-trailer one year prior release. I'm not talking about an on-stage demonstration.I'm just guessing, but I imagine make a polished e3 gameplay demo would take months that is better spent on finishing the game instead. so it's easier to show in game cinematic or cg trailer that didn't change much between now and release. a gameplay demo is probably harder to do, game design may changed here and there, or they will need to find and fix bugs so they didn't have shit happen during presentation etc.

Character models are awful, what in the hell. Feels like they were made for an Ultimate Alliance game that isn't for switch.
To be honest, I wasn't expecting much and I still came away disappointed. It looked like a mobile game when it comes to the characters faces and the general tone of what was going on. Iron Man's helmet looks ridiculous, and Captain America and Thor's faces are just abysmal. The Thor voice is so bad.
And the character designs are so close to the movie designs, but without the actual famous actors, that it gives the whole thing a "Disney Avengers on Ice" feel.
Same here. I understand it's a slogan of theirs; but when I hear it, it makes my skin crawl and I feel overall embarrassed that I was anywhere that I was when I heard it.
It's much closer to the comics than the movie version with the eyes and all. It's fine.Saw this on Twitter and it really just highlights how awful the Iron Man design is in this. The whole shape of the helmet makes him look like some cutesy Japanese Anime robot. Just awful.
The actual body itself is fine but the helmet needs a serious rework. I'm not saying make it like the movie, but it's so bad in it's current state.

Ok cool, I rest my case, thxThere is a demo on the SE show floor. We'll probably see some footage soon enough. (Or hear about it.)
Yup, exactly. I also like their Hank Pym version, but that jacket thing has to go lol. Also this:
I was starting to think I went nuts with people talking about the helmet. I mean, people will complain if it's more accurate to the films or if it's more accurate to the comics. I like how they are following Insomniac's philosophy and doing their own thing.
