We're excited to share that the Closed Alpha Test for Marvel Rivals kicks off on May 10th at 5:00 PM PDT until May 20th at 11:59 PM PDT. Our team is in overdrive to deliver an epic gaming experience during this upcoming test.

Get set to battle with 19 of your favorite Super Heroes and Villains: Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hela, Hulk, Iron Man, Loki, Luna Snow, Magik, Magneto, Mantis, Namor, Peni Parker, Punisher, Rocket Raccoon, Star-Lord, Storm, Scarlet Witch, and Spider-Man! Unleash unique earth-shattering hero Team-Ups in three distinct game modes (Convoy, Domination, Convergence) and dive into three maps (YGGSGARD: YGGDRASILL PATH, YGGSGARD: ROYAL PALACE, TOKYO 2099: SHIN-SHIBUYA) featuring some seriously jaw-dropping destructible environments. New heroes, fresh gameplay, and exciting maps are all in the pipeline and we hope to include them in future tests. Stay tuned for an ever-expanding Marvel universe to explore!

As a matchmaking-based multiplayer game, where duration, server physical distance, and time zones shape the battlefield, a test boasting 30,000 contenders finds its true home in a single region. As such, for this round, we're focusing on the United States and Canada, where most sign-ups have poured in. Based on the current game optimization, we'll be randomly selecting players who meet the recommended system specs (see below) to join the test.

Thanks to everyone who signed up and showed love for Marvel Rivals! We're committed to making this game the best it can be and are excited to see you in future tests.

I'd be surprised if they did anything that gauche. Far more likely the cosmetics are monetized like crazy, especially with the multiverse setting giving them carte blanche on Marvel stuff to work with.
