Thoughts on Agatha so far?

I haven't started it yet

First episode was necessary exposition and a little dry although Kathryn and Aubrey are fun

Second episode much better especially the last ten minutes or so, things pick up a bit

Haven't seen 3rd yet

I think most spooky season stuff is pretty mid, this is aight so far! Certainly not bad

Kathryn carrying so far

So it's looking likely that Spidey 4 will be July 2026. It's wild that it'll be nearly 5 years since NWH by the time it comes out. It being sandwiched in between Doomsday and Secret Wars has me so apprehensive

For a trilogy that released a movie every 2 years, a 5 year hiatus before the next trilogy makes sense to me? But yeah, not looking forward to Spidey in Battleworld

The way Agatha All Along has been put together bodes very well for other projects that people are dismissive about, like Ironheart and Thunderbolts. It seems to me that Marvel Studios has taken the criticisms of the Chapek era to heart and is putting great care into every project. I am very optimistic for the future of the MCU.

Winderbaum says that the more budget-conscious approach "certainly holds true with 'Daredevil' and our future slate as we look down the pike at '26 and '27. That's certainly the goal."
When asked about the Vision series starring Paul Bettany, again reprising his role from the Marvel films and "WandaVision," Winderbaum said it will "not necessarily" have as high a budget as the original crop of MCU shows.

"I think it's about how you use the effects, as opposed to the scale of the effects," he said. "And we're responding to to our own recent history here, and how effective effects really are in increasing the value of a story."

The quote about having the best viewer retention stands out to me. Seems like with Agatha they managed to make sure the people who'd like it would watch it, and those who wouldn't, didn't. I really prefer it this way, makes discussion more fun, everyone's super energized about it.

Picked up my 6th Hot Toys figure today. Had to get Black Widow in her comic accurate solo movie outfit since her movie has a special place in my heart. She does resemble Scarlett Johansson slightly but honestly, the promotional photos for all these Hot Toys figures have more striking resemblances to the actors than the actual products - although they still look like the actors from certain angles.

On a Marvel high due to Agatha so I rewatched Moon Knight a little while ago.

I know some people weren't super high on it but I still loved this show and really really want to see a second season at some point. I think with Marvel Television refocusing on smaller budgets it could still work--like we don't necessarily need another giant Egyptian deity kaiju fight (as much as I live for that gonzo nonsense that the Moon Knight show delivered). She-Hulk is probably unfortunately not getting a second season but I hope Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel are still in their considerations.

Moon Knight is up there for me in shows that I completely disagree with multiple people's reaction on, and really want another go.

Moon Knight pretty much feel off a cliff in the last episode. It really should've been a more grounded affair, not CG giant kaiju for no reason. The fact that such major incident never got brought up again is just ridiculous.

Moon Knight was excellent. One of the best MCU shows, up there with Loki. I need to see Jake in action.

Honestly, not sure why it would need to be brought up. The whole incident was relegated to Cairo, and far as we know none of the Avengers or any other characters so far have operations there. People in this world are also probably used to this crazy stuff by now anyways.

Just started Agatha All Along and the first episode is really fun so far

Call me crazy but I like the more grounded slow burn and intrigue. It's fun because I kind of already know what's going on but I don't see what's ahead

Gonna stick with it

Update: On Episode 3 and this is cool as shit. Totally my jam so far!

Yeah they should have used the kaiju budget for more fights in the other episodes. I also don't know how much of the Moon Knight costume is CGI but maybe a reduction on money spent on CGI would be a good thing.

As for She-Hulk, I really wouldn't mind a low budget bad CG show. Having wosrt CG isn't going to change anything if the writing is good enough.

Moon Knight, anytime fights are involved, should be Marvel's Batman.

That's all I'm gonna say about that. And I also want to rewatch, the show was dope for the first bunch o' episodes.

Yeah I have the Artisan on pre-order as well. I'm just curious how much in tax and VAT I'm gonna have to pay for importing it directly from Sideshow since I live in Europe.

Pre-ordered this beast of a figure from them today as well. My favorite Iron Man suit in an updated 2.0 version. Looks much better than the 1.0 one.

I think Agatha has been great as well, haters are weird for crapping on everything. I don't know what kind of tv you have, but I've been watching this on a 77 inch LG OLED and it looks absolutely stunning in Dolby Vision.

Anyone up for claiming the Venom: The Last Dance OT? It comes out real soon. Maybe there'll be a review thread.

Received Eternals (Black Widow and Shang-Chi too) on 4K Ultra Blu-ray today. So naturally I went for yet another watch and this was by a huge margin my best one yet. Got definite answers to a few minor details that I've been contemplating about. I grew more font on Thena, Gilgamesh and Phastos. To me, it's the perfect comic book movie and Black Panther might finally have been dethroned from #1. Black Panther hits different though since it's such a powerful and emotionally charged movie.

Johnny is the movie version, I think it's from that artwork they did previously. Each letter is dedicated to a specific medium. Comics, Movies, Shows and Games.

Yeah, unfortunately not surprising. It's really good but its failure to really catch on was pretty obvious.

The showrunners were literally begging everyone to show up on Disney+ and watch the new batch. And not enough people showed up.

Guaranteed when the official cancellation news comes out, a bunch of people are going to be seen getting pissed while admitting they did not show up.

Far From Home is such a sweet little happy go-around. These days it may be my favorite cause of its good vibes and awesome villain. But more so I now see the Spider-Man trilogy as one of the strongest in the MCU, maybe only surpassed by Captain America.

It's a nice epilogue for Phase 3, like Ant-Man 1 was for Phase 2 & Guardians Holiday Special was for Phase 4.

Marcel teased while this is the last Venom movie, there "are other symbiote stories," and this threequel will likely nod its way to what's next.

"I would like to fight Spider-Man, I'd like to fight him now," exclaimed Hardy to the crowd.

Just gave Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 another shot since I've hated it since the premiere. I understood a few minor issues I had before and they've been completely alienated. And I've seen the light. Completely in love with it. It's a perfect end cap to their journey. Now I gotta think about it but I'm surprised I'm even considering it at the same level as Vol. 2.

So there's a Daredevil: Born Again panel at NYCC as we speak. And they showed a trailer and announced a March 4 release date. Will be 9 episodes. Charlie Cox also hopes to weat the DD logo someday.
