So i´m going to my first Pre-Release or any MtG Event ever for the first time. It´s a 2 headed giant im doing with my girlfriend, so anything we should look for when building our decks or other general tipps?
In 2 headed giant counter spells are alot better than they are in normal limited. The general just of it is you build one aggro/midrange deck and another more controlling / removal heavy deck.
In 2 headed giant things like, each opponent/player are alot better, so if you have a vampire that does 2 damage to each opponent it deals 4 in total.
You need to have removal for their bombs because with 12 packs it's likely that their bombs are just as good as yours.
Play 18 lands in both decks, since it's only 1 game if either of you get stuck on lands its game over.
Try to mainboard 1 or 2 pieces of artifact / enchantment hate if you can. There's more likely to be a target with 2 people playing and sometimes there are problematic non creature permanents that you need to answer. The best way to do this is on creatures if you can, Reclamation sage is the perfect card in this set for that.
Before doing anything consult with your partner and make sure your both on the same page about what's going on.
If you have card draw spells, see if they say you or target player. Target player means you can help your partner draw more cards if they're flooded/mana screwed.
Wraths go wayyy up in power level with more people. So things like 2 damage to all creatures or - 1/-1 to all creatures is huge.
Those are just some things off the top of my head for 2 headed giant.
If this is your first draft /prerelease ever.... Ive got a host of other advice for you lol
