March 30th, huh.
edit: Or not. Maybe I'm reading into that frame too much.
Yea. Since its March, it would be nice to know the rest very soon.I hope we'll learn the announcements for the coming weeks soon. Need to plan ahead!
And I don't know about other people but I am more inclined to buy a game I'm on the fence about once I know what the next weeks will bring. Otherwise I might skip something just to be on the safe side.
So please, LRG, tell us :)
I'm kinda curious, I don't know how many us are going to pass on Fallen Legion. For those in the know, what's your impression on people's excitement, or lack thereof, for Fallen Legion on various social media and forums?

So i saw someone get Skullgirls Vita #4559 and 4997 even though the print run was slated to be 3834. Going by that, at least an extra thousand was printed? Thats like 25% of the print. A bit too much for lost mail replacement imo.
Quite a number of people in a FB group are quite unhappy bout it lol
Not that it matters if more were printed, but knowing the actual run number would be nice.
And also an explanation.
Didn' they always say that extras would be printed, regardless? I think I recall hearing that a few would be sold on the site as well.

I think the reason why people were complaining was because it didn't match up with what they assumed to be the final print run. Which was 3800ish plus an extra 10% for replacement. And then now it is an extra 1000, 25 percent of the total print.
The final number should be given out imo. Cuz others just thought it was pretty shady to do so.
But at least I know now that they printed an extra 1000 to sell to people who missed out on the preorder. However, I highly doubt that the people mad about it in the FB group will listen to me as I explain it since they're pretty dumb. and won't listen.

The Limited Run Games Fan Club is terrible and now they have conspiracy theories going on about the "true print run"
I realized way late that I missed the release of the La Mulana special edition but to my relief i got it on eBay for the original price. I was under the impression LRG games universally jump in price and sell out in minutes. Have things changed?
That's good to know. Thank you.Unless they just drastically underestimate the demand for a game, which has only happened to a handful of games past the initial rush when they started, prices usually hover around their base price.

1500 extra copies seems like a lot for dev/promo and overage for replacements.Skullgirls statement thingy
5,010 copies were produced in total - which covers the ~3,500 which were sold, the developer and our promotional copies, and overage for replacements. The roll of stickers for numbers 0001 - 2000 ended up not being entirely usable, so copies that were sent out are all labeled 2,000 - 5,500, IIRC. Getting a new roll of stickers would have caused another two-week delay which we just couldn't afford at this point.

Especially since you'll be selling about another 1000 in April online. (which to me, it's a smart move to make those extras and get a bit more revenue, that seems like the actual reason for so many extras)
they said they would try to do it earlier. lolHave they ever announced a full month in the first ten days? There's your answer.
Unless I missed something The House In Fata Morgana is the first time LRG has implied they are responsible for localizing a game for a platform. I say imply because it hasn't been formally announced. On Retronauts they indicate that for their first unannounced localization project they will be releasing it on Vita and porting it to PS4 and goes as far as saying they hope they can port it to Switch. If the game alluded to is Fata Morgana I wonder which platform will sell best and if the Sony and Nintendo platforms will have staggered releases.
Hear Josh and Doug talk a little about how they decide to select a game or developer to work with made me wish there had been less community hostility to the idea of a 'developer edition' and that LRG had maybe included a booklet in the case about the developer. The affection for Bard's Gold and Arcade Distillery really came through in the interview and I think that extras that give further insight into the selection process will attract a new audience segment or further cement the interest of some current buyers.
