Never played it but always been curious, has anyone played it recently? Does it hold up still? Game always looked interesting for sure
You can't fool me old man.
This gun holds 7 bullets.
I'm a professional.
Honestly, most of the actual details explaining the plot is stuff you'll find outside of the cutscenes. Having played Killer7 to a pulp, I can tell you that most of the cutscenes that are inaudible thanks to background music (given that the game features a bunch of cutscenes without music) usually only really feature characters waxing poetic.I assume they haven't done anything like adding subtitles? Couldn't understand a word last time I played and even resorted to playing with a laptop open on a full transcription of the game by my side.
Part of the reason I never got that far in the game.
What the hell why no English subtitles... I'm not naive enough to be hoping for subs in my language (Italian) , but English subs would have been enough. What about deaf English players?I assume they haven't done anything like adding subtitles? [EDIT]
Uhhhhhh

Oh, I hope not. A 1080p lock is a dealbreaker. The release notes make it sound like the game is locked to 1080p :/ I really hope that's not the case.
Does it force the game to run at 1080p or does it try to match your monitor's maximum resolution? I guess you can only know if you have a 4K or 1440p monitor.I played it. There is no option beside anti-aliasing and the option to force 4:3. No resolution option either.

Even for it's time, the basic "game design" of Killer7 was fairly archaic.Never played it but always been curious, has anyone played it recently? Does it hold up still? Game always looked interesting for sure
Cool stealth drop. I also noticed that there's a digital art book and digital soundtrack that you can get as DLC, and in a cool move, the soundtrack looks to be more complete than the original 2 CD set from 2005.

It's a decent port, the loading times are fast, and you can switch characters with hotkeys immediately. Just don't expect granular options.
There is english subtitle for all cutscenes that has "garbled" voices. But there was never any subtitles for voiced, audible cutscenes
Game runs at 4K 144hz for me. Looks real good. They redid the hud elements.
