He's right. This is why the "spiritual successors" like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 have the character designs that they have
Everything is not just making money but about cost opportunity, you'll be still taking time from people you can put to other more profitable project, same with assets in general.
This was always cringe, and KOS-MOS outfits in III are not the best, but they're still better than sitting through an entirety of XB2's Mythra and Pyra.
Smash/Leggings Mythra is fine.

Pretty much this. Forget about Xenosaga, it's mediocre at most. The way people go about that series is as if it's the second coming of christ. I rather see them invest in a remaster or remake thats worth it.

Since he wanted Monolithsofts involvement, therefore Nintendos. It's not a surprise that the market evaluation was negative. Namco and especially Harada seems to be very cautious when it comes to supporting Nintendo systems, with their own big IPs, especially for Switch and IPs where Harada is more hands on for some odd reason. Soul Calibur and Tekken should have been on Switch by now.

I still think it comes down to them wanting Monolith involved but also wanting to release them on PS4; which would be mutually exclusive.
How would you even remaster Xenogears? Other than adding a turbo option.

makes sense. i don't think it would do too hot either. and it's not just one game, they'd have to remaster three games of varying quality and people would expect more than a simple res bump.

You can use Smash Mythra in XB2 but you gotta unlock it unfortunately.
