I dont think asking for a flying pokemon to use fly its a nitpick though.
And even though the case with Pikachu is not an issue, still what he does its not actually special. If thats the case, you could say that a lot of pokemons could simply use ballons all over and then fly.
Of any component I think lack of random battles are here to stay. They were a technical hurdle on prior platformsI just know gen 8 are going to remove the best part of Let's Go (no random battles, more streamlined catching process, co-op) and I don't know if my salt will be able to cope with that. Hopefully they don't screw this up.
Really hope so. As long as random battles are gone I'll be somewhat content.Of any component I think lack of random battles are here to stay. They were a technical hurdle on prior platforms
Shame Pokemon that follow you are going to be taken out. It's a cool feature but no way they do it for like 800 different Pokemon.
I truly believe Pokémon on the overworld is the biggest reason that Let's Go has been received so well.Of any component I think lack of random battles are here to stay. They were a technical hurdle on prior platforms

Well that guy who kept harping it isnt a core title just got BTFO
I didn't say Pikachu was special. All I said was that it continued the trend of there being 1-2 Pokemon that's selected to allow you the ability to use Fly without needing an HM. I expect the same in Gen 8, though I would appreciate more than one flying option, if only to mix it up slightly. Or at the very least, to use a Pokemon that is actually native to Gen 8's region.
When I said special, I was talking about the part where flying(hm or not) requires a context. You said that in Oras you can fly with Latios. Did you ever wonder why? Or Charizard? Theres a reason for some pokemons to learn fly while others not(and that includes the ones who arent flying types). If Pikachu balloon becomes a trend, the move and its meaning won't be special anymore.
they could all just use jetpacks or a magic ring to go visit cities and be done with.
No, Pokemon have never been healed by being put into the PC. It does mean your party is essentially infinite though which would break any sort of dungeon (If Gen 8 even has them).Wait, so this basically means you can heal your Pokemon whenever you want right by just switching em in and out right
Keep portable pokebox, pokemon on the map, go catch mechanics, 2 player local coop
Bring back pokemon abilities and held items, the option to battle wild pokemon as opposed to catch only, and the ability to turn on/off exp share
Make motion controls optional, let people use any number of control input methods when playing docked
Would be my ideal pokemon game
I truly believe Pokémon on the overworld is the biggest reason that Let's Go has been received so well.
Without it, I don't think it would have been
Why would Balloon Pikachu be the Pokeride option for the next game lol? They'll create a new context for Gen 8. And the next game. And the game after that. This feature isn't going away, as it offers much needed convenience that should've been in a long time ago. I don't really understand what you're getting at.
I mean yea, they could if they wanted to. But logically it's more appealing to let you ride a Pokemon.
you can live without held items by not using held items. i really dont get what not having them in game improve at all even for people like you, let alone people like me who liked the small addition of strategy and challenge they could offer. specially when they go out of their way to make one of the most game changing ways of using held items (megas) work anyway
You mean the one that has been in since 2016?
It's a Generation 7 game, running an altered Generation 7 engine.Don't see how they can be classed as Gen 7 considering they are not present in the data or obtainable in any way in Gen 7, but they will be in Gen 8
They're Gen 8 Pokemon introduced a year early in a spin off as a teaser.
It's like how Bonsly, Munchlax and Mime Jr were in Pokemon XD a year before Gen 4
Basically this. It was something very requested for years and it really offset a lot of the other garbage decisions in this game for many peopleI truly believe Pokémon on the overworld is the biggest reason that Let's Go has been received so well.

I really really like what they did with let's go, but I hope they will change the tiny few things for the next game that makes let's go still look like a casual spin-off like no day and night or time in general, no items on your Pokemon, no breeding and a couple of other things like the really bad box and item management. Make it feel like a next gen Pokemon title and I'm all over it. The general gameplay, new godlike graphical IV system and the Go connection, which encourages you to send over a lot of Pokemon to check for good IVs in let's go, are incredibly good and good thought through. They just need to beef it up again and make it deeper with more mechanics and things to do like we know and love it on other Pokemon titles.
That is pretty much what he means, yeahWhat he means with this is that every game will have to park to transfer Pokémon don't be freaking out people that's all
There are a lot of good ideas floating around between Lets GO, GO and the Traditional titles
Whether or not they combine the best ideas in a compelling way for Pokemon 2019?
I am crossing my fingers because it could be amazing if they execute
I don't want abilities back. Don't @ me.
Game feels WAY less gimmicky without them. Not having to circumvent strange immunities and traps is nice.

You don't understand or pretend to not? Its simple really, all that matters is whatever the meaning to travel between cities should remain a flying pokemon carring you.
Riding a Snorlax with jetpacks shouldn't be a problem at all then.

All of this is excellent. I would love that type of system.I love the pokemon in the overworld
As far as wild battles are concerned they should add some personality and variety
How about... you sneak up on pokemon and you get a shot at throwing a ball with increased odds. If you miss the pokemon will either flee or retaliate based on its personality
Forcing a wild battle
Maybe some pokemon are agressive or territorial and chase you down... or ambush you. Forcing a wild battle.
Maybe some pokemon are just slow.. or silly and just let you sit there and throw balls at them
The possibilities are endless
Also... bring back abilities
I'm still not going to acknowledge Let's Go as mainline games unless I'm making a point about how they are ill-conceived, watered down, content barren excuses for mainline Pokémon games.
Percentages aren't even in GO, it's just what people use to make it easier for them to share IVs (I personally don't agree with those trying to use it here since you may not want a perfect IV in Attack or Speed). They're just fan used, not used in the game itself.Oh wow don't remember that at all.
But haven't we still used a percentage value when talking about IV up to this game? Like in Go as example? Thought this system was new now cause it feels fresh and a lot more dynamic.
And for the record, even though they're not available in the game (and their models don't load), all Pokémon from Chikorita to Zeraora, including all forms, Mega Evolutions, Primal Reversions and Ultra Bursts are coded in, as are the mechanics for it. The game still has everything including Z-Moves, Ultra Burst and so forth coded in. It's the same engine.
If you alter the game to load it up, their stats, types etc. are factored in
Z- moves, items, Megas and all the other feature creep items included over the years can be scrapped for all I care
Gross
Z- moves, items, Megas and all the other feature creep items included over the years can be scrapped for all I care
Expand abilities to have more effects and nuance and continue to expand moves
Kind of a shame that all this fluff is still being maintained
