So that's where Heard's charity money is going!

How is the fact that the she is getting paid not disqualify her testimony? Is she getting paid solely by Heard's team?

Pretty telling that Amber her mom still loves Depp even after she alleged the abuse.

So the one doctor who had multiple sessions with the couple came to the conclusion that Depp was not a perpetrator of spousal abuse had her opinion refused by Hughes, who never interacted with Depp.

Uh huh...

"well, there is context!"

This Dr is coming across more like a friend than expert witness. Kinda undermines her own expertise.

Yup and it's obvious she has cherry picked what she wants from all the evidence she has been given to frame Amber as the victim of abuse, ignoring key information to suit that.

Johnny's lawyers are really undermining her integrity.

WOW

The most disgusting part after that was that Amber Heard actually smirked following that comment.

This witness is doing a great job circling a question rather than just directly answering it.

"Incomplete forms? See my other 80 pages of notes to get the answer that should be in this box on this form."

This specialist was probably too busy counting her cash as opposed to filling in the notes. Am surprised AH's legal team didn't catch these empty boxes. The specialist's handwaving is embarrassing

I feel it is clear to everyone how biased that witness is. The lawyer is certainly doing a good job at riling her up, which is good as you can see how unaccountable she is.

Not to mention that the recording of Amber Heard certainly doesn't sound like someone who is fearful for her life.

This is him
"Fluent in Spanish, Ben is part of the team representing a Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico in the pending bankruptcy proceedings, and has litigated for Dominican, Ecuadorian, Guatemalan, Nicaraguan, and Panamanian clients in the U.S. He has represented governments of Dubai (securing the dismissal of a multimillion-dollar arbitration award by Bechtel) and Honduras in U.S. litigation. In 2013, after passing the Kosovo Bar, he defended the holder of the country's telecommunications franchise there in criminal proceedings brought by EULEX, securing his acquittal and enabling his company to keep its franchise. Ben also prosecuted an arbitration claim against the Republic of Ghana at the I.C.C.
Ben remains committed to pro bono, successfully representing an African American honors graduate of the University of Virginia in his civil rights case against certain government officers. What a boss.

Witness swung the door wide open yesterday about Amber's past with IPV and we are about to witness pay from that, maybe?

Damn, I wouldn't mind having him in my corner. That's some good pro bono work as well there.

Dr. Hughes said that Amber purchased knife for him during the filming of The Lone Ranger. Lone Ranger was released in 2013. The knife was gifted in 2015.

Same. Especially compared to the carnage that was expected with this witness after yesterday.
In all fairness, the witness keeps not answering straight (and you can see the stark contrast with how Dr. Curry was prevented to deviate from yes or no) but it could be to appear less confrontational ?

And that judge is clearly leaning on one side imo.

Depp's attorney is dealing with a very evasive witness. He can't eviscerate her on the stand but he did do a good job early on showing her biasness.

I don't think Depp's legal team is having a good day so far.

I'm a bit behind and currently at the line of questioning about her use of pronouns and whether she regularly testifies on behalf of male abuse victims and...they're not getting any points with this so far...

They'll definitely bring that up again.

In general, it feels like they were banking on talking about Heard's abusive past and that kind of backfired.

Has that been confirmed she's coming back?

She could be. And since Hughes testimony hinges completely on taking Heard at face value, and Curry already said that's specifically what clinical psychologists have to do, that could come up.

Another question: Hughes testified that Heard's reports are in line with the available research on IPV, and that her reports come from several sources. And that Hughes believes Heard. Could Depp's team ask what Hughes makes of the fact that Heard showed up in therapy with bruises in december 2015, when the day before she didn't have any on Corden's show. If that influenced her opinion at all? Or is there some sort of legal reason/proceeding why that couldn't have been asked at that time?

Who said it was gifted in 2015?

If they didn't know the date it was gifted, she might have been able to explain that away.
