Speaking of Regal Lily though, I like them and I like their musical style, but I think the singer needs a bit of vocal training to help her with some of the notes.
I mean on the whole she's great and hits almost all of the notes, just some of the higher notes are a bit out of tune. But then はしるこども happened, and I just can't listen to that song. I don't understand how that even got the ok to be released as it is.
I was told before that it could be her "thing", but if that's the case, why choose singing out of tune as your thing?
I really hope they sort it out, because if they just fixed this one aspect of their music, I think they could be a great band.

MY FIRST STORY - V
Quite surprised by the amount of more poppy sounding tracks on this release compared to their older works, but I'm all for more variety in their sound. They still have a few tracks that stick to their trademark screamo/loud rock stuff. I already quite dig it, but feel like this'll album will grow on me the more I listen to it.

The Kyoto-born rapper wowed a lot of listeners last year with his 1st album Andless, and this new EP doesn't disappoint either. So good.

The singer reminds me of an older American dude I met in a bookstore in Jimbocho one weekend who spoke perfect Japanese besides the fact that he would pronounce loan words with English pronunciation.

In case some of you missed the info, Yonezu Kenshi's Uniqlo t-shirts are now available outside of North America! Just ordered two of them myself. They seem to be only available online (at least in France), maybe physical stores will get them at some point.

Apple Music had this guy Guiano in their main recommendations this week. Really digging this new EP he just released! He's known for his vocaloid stuff, and this his first release where he's the one singing. It's like... a mix between amazarashi and tropical house? Lol

Great news! Hitsujibungaku are making their major debut with Sony. They're joining F.C.L.S., the sub-label originally created when Suchmos signed with Sony (I thought it was exclusively made for them, guess not).

Really digging Akira Yuki's 1st major EP. Only knew her name and promo picture, and assumed she was doing some "standard" pop ala Aimyon, but it's actually not the case at all. It's quite moody, closer to something like amazarashi (one of the arrangers actually worked with amazarashi)
