Masaki Hiyama, who runs VR development company Mark-on,
posted a tweet
stating that since many Japanese workers take a day off when a new Monster Hunter game is released, he was declaring March 26 "MonHun Day" so they could all stay at home to play.

Damn, amazing reviews so far too. I wish I could take off Friday to play.

March 26 is 'MonHun Day' for workers at tech company Mark-on…

United States
CEO of all video games

Edit now that the title has been fixed: That's pretty awesome, reminds me of that urban legend about Dragon Quest games having to release on Saturdays lol

For a moment I thought that Kevin Butler had returned with a promotion. This guy is a pretty cool boss too though.

OP is so consumed with Monster Hunter that he can't even be bothered to finish the thread title. Now I see why a company would take a day off.

So executives don't work...

Took a day off for Gears 3, The Last of Us and Destiny 2.

Glad the CEO just went ahead and accepted that people will be just looking at the clock just so they can play.
