For example, if namco said, to *you*, we will make the best ridge racer game, for you, for 1000 bucks, would you do it? Or insert any game that hasnt been made in a long time

OR even a hypothetical game, for example, a type of game from a studio you love like i dunno an example for me would be a Banjo game made by nintendo. Would you do it? Is there any game you want SO BADLY that is basically zero chance of ever happening?

For my ideal Pokémon game, I would pay any price. I would make any sacrifice. No amount of suffering exceeds the cost I am willing to lay at the altar of Perfect Pokémon.

Shenmue IV for sure. Id pay stupid money to get that (I already did for III lol). My only stipulation would be for them to focus on the story, not with forklifts and gacha crap.

Oh, and Mega Man Legends 3 of course... Capcom didnt even give me the chance on that one, they canceled it before the demo was released ;(

I'd probably pay $200 for a remaster of Morrowind with an updated combat system and the rest of the country with quests included.

But more realistically I'd probably pay hundreds for DLC in a service game that I'd be able to stay engaged with for years. I already have spent that in games like Genshin and GTA and also COD (for my kid).

$1000 would be a reach.

But, if EA Sports came to me and said ... we're going to make a current NCAA Football '23 game, which has all of the classic features of the NCAA Football series, plus all of the modern quality of life improvements that you like from the last decade of Madden games, the good gameplay enhancements not the shitty ones, and other reasonable improvements that would have been on the roadmap back in 2013... And it's for you and your buddies, I might spring for it.

I think if someone made that offer, like EA Sports made that offer to me and my 3 friends who used to play NCAA Football dynasties with each other, for $1000 and I could split that across 1 other friend ro something, I think I'd do it. $500 would be steep, but my best friend and I used to go 10-15 seasons deep in Dynasty mode every year and we fuckin loved it... and we've thought about trying to rehab/mod old 360s, get a PC working so we can play the modded version of the game, etc, and we never do it because the cost is too high and it doesn't work with most of the online quality of life improvements. So $500 is really not a big ask if "it all just worked."

An open-world Ratchet RPG with numerous playable characters & new improved yet familiar battle system.

Special edition? Deluxe edition? DLCs?

Vertexer, Taito's unreleased sci-fi racing game. It was essentially my dream game as a kid before F-Zero GX came into my life.

Nah. I'm always drowning in stuff I want to play for little cost these days with Gamepass, PS+ Premium, various free/"free" games I've claimed over the years. That has me much more selective about games I buy period, and especially at full price. I'm not super passionate about gaming anymore so there's no single game I'd pay a big premium to experience as they're not some life changing or even meaningful things. Just fun things to pass some time when just chilling alone at home.

Some kind of high concept game by ND. Hard Scifi, SteamPunk, DieselPunk, High Fantasy. Something like that. No more grounded at all. Take that pedigree into some really exciting area like that.

For whats basically a custom game? Absolutely.
Heck, I remember paying like 650 for panzer dragoon saga at a time I had far less disposable income.

I would pay up for a faithful remake of the original Deus Ex. Same size/scope and depth just with modern visuals, controls and qol features. Maybe work in some of the prequel story. That would be the dream.

World of Warcraft 2 - from the ground up, everything new, super high-end graphics, but with oldschool MMO sensibilities.

Outside of that, no, I'm good.

Money I have: €1000 tops.

Money if I were a billionaire: I would literally donate €100 million to SE to remake Xenogears. €50 million for Vagrant Story.

I would drop a pretty obscene amount of money if it meant regularly getting more Ace Attorney games.

A thousand bucks? No, I don't think so, I guess I enjoy enough games that aren't directly catered to me to spend that kind of money on something that is.

I would pay $150 for Mount and Blade II Bannerlord combined with Crusader Kings 3 (with an upgrade to Bannerlord's troop count) I know about the Crusader Blade program but bc of the way it's coded it's tough to add new factions to the interpreter. Give me the core loop of CK3's realm management combined with the mercenary/warlord rise of Bannerlord, and just as moddable as those games

I'd pay a lot for a Pokémon game with a vast world with multiple regions, amazing graphics, action-RPG style, continuous updates adding more areas, characters and Pokémon, etc.

I would gladly pay 1000 bucks if it means a (good) developer would make Wing Commander 6 ..

Same, and I'm not even a Pokémon fan. I would LOVE a Pokémon game that mixed:

1. Pokémon Legends Arceus' real-time catching, open world.
2. New Pokémon Snap where you interact with Pokemons in more ways than catching and fighting. A Pokémon Photographer touring an open world area would be great.
3. Animal Crossing's time and seasonal mechanics, where different animals are available at different times of the day, weather, and season of the year.

I'd pay $1k for a remake of Warhawk for PS5. Just a straight up graphical improvement. I don't need any other changes.

I'd drop £1k on a current-gen only standalone game based on Mass Effect 3 multiplayer with all-new classes, progression, maps and objectives. To be clear, it must be nothing like Andromeda's hugely disappointing co-op.

I'd pay $1000 for the following if I could:

Chrono Trigger HD2D.

Parasite Eve in the REngine.

Xenogears remake getting it's cut content back with the care that 7R is getting.

A modern port of PES6 with the gameplay completely untouched, just with an up-res and a more comprehensive edit suite.

I'd never play anything else.

lol, thank you, it legit hurts my soul thinking about the good times in the NCAA Football series over the years, knowing that... there's a strong likelihood the series never really launches again, and even if it does, it'll likely be a shell of what it was compared to even the early 2000s versions of the games.

If Atlus told me they'll only make Persona 6 if I paid them I might go up to like £150 but no more.

Other than that no

An open world AAA budget Yugioh game for next gen (PS6/Xbox Series Z).

Two open world areas - Duel Kingdom and Battle City. Rules and cards are from OG Yugioh only. Follow the main story beats of the manga, but not 1:1 because the game would be too short. Increase the amount of Battle Chips and Locator Cards needed to advance, add several sidequests, etc. Because it's only pre-GX cards, it's more realistic to have highly advanced 3D grafx and animation for every single monsters and trap and cards.

The best part of the game would be the multiplayer, which is a Battle Royale as the manga literally calls both arcs. Have it be a 100 player Battle Royale that lasts 40 hours. Go crazy.

I'd pay $1000 for my dream Mega Man Zero 5 or Mega Man Legends 3 game.

Even if they do make games with those titles one day, it won't be what I have in mind.
