Is "Kim" by Eminem the darkest song ever written?

On my way to work this morning I had the weird urge to listen to The Marshall Mathers LP album by Eminem. It's an incredible album, but also one that is extremely dark and chock-full of some of the most offensive lyrics ever.

Nothing quite fits this label more than track 16, "Kim."




Essentially, this song essentially details a plan by Em to kill his wife, Kim. The lyrics are legitimately shocking and are amplified by a haunting background beat.

What is your guys' opinion on this track (and perhaps the album as a whole)? Any other tracks stand out that are as twisted as this?

My parents (obviously) didn't let me listen to this album when I was younger, so I ended up sneaking and borrowing my brother's copy. I should have known how bad it was when even he warned me "skip Kim."

That throat slitting part scarred me for a long time...

I felt sick at the end of that track the first time I listened to it a good few years back.

Still think 'Kim' is more fucked up though. It's all the screaming, burbling and stuff... The whole package of that song lifts it to a more disturbing plane.
