Exactly. The game sold 52k in one year. It's highly unlikely to ever each 250k.Are you guys really taking this seriously when this is also part of the tweet?

52k isn't bad at all for an indie gameIt's only at 52k? That a travesty. It's such a great game. Deserves way more.
Reading the title I was annoyed thinking they sold more and this was realistic... But tbh, it deserves those sales.
looks cool but i'm not buying it on switch so that other people can play it for free. i'll just get it on steam.
This must be a joke, otherwise it seems like poor business sense...
yeah I know. It just deserves more.
I have to ask again.
Why do you think this is serious if that phrase at the end is there.
That was not wise. People are going to latch onto the "It might be free part," not the "We don't expect to ever actually sell 250k copies."
You guys realize the game has been out for a year and has sold about 52k, right? The potential sales lost from hypothetical people who were waiting for a price drop and will now instead wait for it to sell 250k (which it never will, but let's even assume they don't know that) is far more than offset by the free advertising this move is generating them. Visibility is an indie's game lifeblood. I mean, how many of you even knew of the game before this?
