IMO this call for forgiveness and unity is going to cost Democrats in 2022, and might even hurt their chances in Georgia.
Voters that like me are pissed off and don't want to hear that. After obstruction during the Obama years and being complicit during the Trump years the Republicans are not going to get a pass. If Democrat leadership don't want to take on that fight then be prepared for the upcoming election defeats. It comes off as weak instead of noble.

Not only does this make me worried that if there is any movement on a coup we will be saying it's old news and not take it seriously, but even when (if?) it completely fails it's going to give the militias and psychos more reason to act out.
I know the chances of this succeeding are almost 0 but it's setting a very dangerous precedent and is a potential igniting event if things escalate.

Of course they're normalizing it. When the American democratic experiment inevitably fails (probably not now but one or two Republican administrations from now) they don't want you out in the streets panicking over the end of your rights and freedoms. They want you safely placated at home like good little consumers watching their advertising and buying the things/realities they tell you to buy.
Republican fascists are playing a dangerous game with their miserable delusional base. Only takes one out there who decides to take matters into their own hands. And fuck theatre for the sake of Trump's ego, they see this strategy as a win/win for 2022/24. They're going to be fundraising and running on the idea that our elections are illegitimate if a Democrat wins for years to come, to the detriment of the country and Democratic ideals worldwide.

I see no reason for the dems to screw the rules to punish them if said rules are screwed over to irrelevance.
This is a result not only of the right wing becoming more and more deranged but centrists/independents and even people on the left scoffing at the idea that the American right wing wants an authoritarian state where they reject elections based on nothing while practicing voter suppression to make sure that any legitimate claims to fuckery during elections by the other side is dismissed. Those people can all eat shit.
I do wonder if how I feel when people like this bozo constantly, and hilariously, use the term Socialism or Socialist is how they feel when others use the word Fascism or Fascist? Probably not quite the same but it's gotta be on the spectrum. Like, some people on the left are socialists (the DSA for example) and some people on the right are fascists (Steve Bannon) but it's a pretty broad brush. Using either so liberally (-_-) sort of diminishes the word.

I've been practicing letting these stupid fucks just talk, and not pay attention to the news. It's been really working. This guy is just trying to stay in trump's good graces to be a pundit on trump tv. Literally blowing smoke. The passing of the presidential baton is in our constitution. Quickest way to piss off a majority of our country and all governing bodies in the US is to ignore it. Nothing y'all are fearful of is going to happen.
