Heh. I understand that Biden, as a president-elect, is trying unify people as the leader of an entire country. However, as a minority (and a non-American) a portion of his speech that he gave with VP, felt very much like being gaslit, especially in retrospect of the latest episode of The Last Week Tonight.

This unification w/o any sort of reckoning feels like white washing the last 4 years, to absolve the white guilt.

IMO this call for forgiveness and unity is going to cost Democrats in 2022, and might even hurt their chances in Georgia.

Voters that like me are pissed off and don't want to hear that. After obstruction during the Obama years and being complicit during the Trump years the Republicans are not going to get a pass. If Democrat leadership don't want to take on that fight then be prepared for the upcoming election defeats. It comes off as weak instead of noble.

They all got in a room and decided to troll Democrats with this election fraud shit. Pompeo laughed when saying it the other day.

same tactic when they decided to call democrats socialists.

Isn't worst case scenario a Pelosi presidency? The GOP has no winning option in this fight.

Totally. I'm like fuck MSNBC and CNN now. They need to call this shit out more, and drag everyone saying this. Explicitly say what they're doing and call them traitors. Full stop. Trying to remain fair and balanced just enables all this nonsense. Makes them afraid to go too hard on the lies because they don't want to look too liberal.

Not only does this make me worried that if there is any movement on a coup we will be saying it's old news and not take it seriously, but even when (if?) it completely fails it's going to give the militias and psychos more reason to act out.

I know the chances of this succeeding are almost 0 but it's setting a very dangerous precedent and is a potential igniting event if things escalate.

So sick of these mother fuckers. Take the House, Senate, and WH then make sure these dick heads never come back into power. Push through every goddamn progressive bill and agenda possible.

He's right. If Trump and the GOP shitheads drag things out long enough, it'll be Pelosi.

I hate how subdued the media is in response to these comments. It feels like they're normalizing it and that makes me worried.
Of course they're normalizing it. When the American democratic experiment inevitably fails (probably not now but one or two Republican administrations from now) they don't want you out in the streets panicking over the end of your rights and freedoms. They want you safely placated at home like good little consumers watching their advertising and buying the things/realities they tell you to buy.

So if they want to be blatantly treasonous let them. When Biden becomes President we can prosecute these treasonous fucks. Is the punishment for treason still death?

Republican fascists are playing a dangerous game with their miserable delusional base. Only takes one out there who decides to take matters into their own hands. And fuck theatre for the sake of Trump's ego, they see this strategy as a win/win for 2022/24. They're going to be fundraising and running on the idea that our elections are illegitimate if a Democrat wins for years to come, to the detriment of the country and Democratic ideals worldwide.

The punishment for treason in a democrat presidency is probably being reached out at from across the aisle and being handed the senate again in 22

This is a result not only of the right wing becoming more and more deranged but centrists/independents and even people on the left scoffing at the idea that the American right wing wants an authoritarian state where they reject elections based on nothing while practicing voter suppression to make sure that any legitimate claims to fuckery during elections by the other side is dismissed. Those people can all eat shit.

I do wonder if how I feel when people like this bozo constantly, and hilariously, use the term Socialism or Socialist is how they feel when others use the word Fascism or Fascist? Probably not quite the same but it's gotta be on the spectrum. Like, some people on the left are socialists (the DSA for example) and some people on the right are fascists (Steve Bannon) but it's a pretty broad brush. Using either so liberally (-_-) sort of diminishes the word.

Like I said, not the same. Just pondering it.

Maybe the republic will be over on January 20 and maybe it won't be

For a party that has only won the popular vote one time in 30 years, they sure have a hard time with losing

But they are Fascists. It's not to broad brush, it's correct labeling. Unlike calling the Democrats Socialists.

So how long do people allow this to happen. It was awkward at first, but it is getting bolder by the minute. Guess we will continue to laugh it off until we are in some deep shit

I just don't think they all are. Like, is this moron? Maybe. But your average Republican lawmaker is just an amoral glob. Anyway, if this is fascism, it's some weak-ass shit (good for our sake).

Guy can go for a gooood long walk out of existence, no matter what.

Well you better hope he is Kevin. Because if he isn't, the protests coming your way are going to make the BLM protests earlier this year look like a local highschool homecoming parade.

I've been practicing letting these stupid fucks just talk, and not pay attention to the news. It's been really working. This guy is just trying to stay in trump's good graces to be a pundit on trump tv. Literally blowing smoke. The passing of the presidential baton is in our constitution. Quickest way to piss off a majority of our country and all governing bodies in the US is to ignore it. Nothing y'all are fearful of is going to happen.

I'll never understand the stand these people make for Trump.

Mccain? Fine, Romney sure.

But Trump? Reputation and dignity for this Bozo.

Like he insulted Ted Cruz wife and he backs him up. And Texans still vote for him. Same for Graham.
