So if i didn't understood it wrong, to play in PSVR i need to purchase the hitman 3 version of PS4? (I only own hitman 1 + season pass)

Yea, they haven't posted any updates on Twitter about it being back up yet and no timeframe given. I'd like to play the game but without the progress transfer, I'm holding off since once you're able to complete the transfer, it'll wipe anything you've done prior to it being completed.
If you don't care about the progress transfer, you can play with no issues. However, if you have a ton of progress in Hitman 2 and want that in Hitman 3, you'll need to wait until the service is running because when you complete the transfer, it wipes your progress, Hitman 3 content included.
On the Series X. You can buy the Hitman 1 goty pass for $30 from within the Hitman 3 launcher. If you go to the MS marketplace directly it's $60.

The cg cutscenes are trash quality and riddled with compression, Jesus christ devs if you're going to have pre rendered cutscenes in this day and age don't have them be sub DVD quality. Gamma levels are fucked too

Depends whether you've claimed and downloaded the Hitman 1 Legacy Pack from Hitman 1 before?
If not, you'll need to do that. Hitman 2 just needs you to own a version of it to claim the related access pass.
Only played the Dubai mission so far...this being my first real dive into a Hitman game, man the amount of freedom and wealth of things at your disposal to get the job done is so cool. The sandbox element of this is kind of already blowing my mind...
It was awesome to come up with what I thought was a foolproof plan but then have it blow up in my face and I had to completely adapt and change on the fly or say fuck it and just try the most direct route lol.

The game does not seem to like my undervolt. Crashed during the opening cutscene and the start of Dubai after I skipped the cutscene.
Tried to run the benchmark and Dartmoor worked fine but it crashed during the Dubai benchmark. Took off my UV and it's no longer crashing during the Dubai benchmark.

Booted up the Series X version. I was able to get all of the Hitman 2 levels in, not going to even bother with the progress transfer until the issue is fixed, although my IOI account linked up fine. The store is telling me that I have to buy the Hitman 2016 GOTY transfer pack despite me already owning it? Is this a known issue or do I have to reinstall Hitman 2016 as well?
Also, I checked my inventory real quick and I noticed I have a suit called "The Green Streak" that I don't recognize. I don't believe it was a pre-order suit, but it does seem Xbox themed so I wonder if it's a console exclusive. Does anyone know if the PS5 or PC versions have a unique suit like this?

Yeah, on PS4. I have, since I had previously unlocked Hitman 1 levels in Hitman 2.
It shows all the levels unlocked in the Destinations menu but says I need to buy access to Hitman 1/2 in the Campaigns menu?
I'll wait until the transfer can detect my Hitman 2 account. Looking at my level in 2, then seeing Level 1 on 3 is a little off. Got some unlocks from masterys I'd love to use in the new levels.

Thanks, will check again after work. Question for you though - is it known if the carryover is just for Hitman 1/2 progress, or will it also overwrite any Hitman 3 progress you might have made so far? Wondering if it's safe to start playing Hitman 3 and then do the carryover later, but don't want to try it if the carryover process will erase any progress made in Hitman 3 pre-carryover.
Do you have in game hints on? I'm in the same boat and wanted to know if I should just jump in.
I don't think I do? I mean nothing was like "go here or do this etc." outside of the story beats....

That's odd. I'm having issue with the access pass for H2:G so I'm guessing there's still some kinks to sort out. You should just need to have downloaded the Legacy pass before, and then own Hitman 2 to get access. So you're definitely good insofar as the guide. I'd wait for a bit to see if it sorts itself out when the progression stuff is resolved.

The progression transfer system is down and has been since launch so we're all stuck waiting for that to go up. If you start Hitman 3 and then do the progress transfer from 2, it will delete whatever progress you made in 3 before that point.

I doubt it. Feel free to play 2 and enjoy that, then you'll just have to visit that site and do the transfer once you buy 3.
Hope so. I'm busy this evening so has been a bit of a wipe of the afternoon but it is what it is. By all accounts sounds like the levels will be worth the wait.
